Summer Transfers 2025 (rumours and incomings)

Perhaps now that we officially made it through we will see a few signings over the weekend. I know parish likes to play it safe so he might have just waited for it to be rubber stamp 😅

I think there must have been more to it.

Sorloth did look out of sorts for us and his goal and assists return was woeful. I don’t buy the ‘not being given a chance’ thing because he played 20 times for us. In addition to that Ray & Roy had the benefit of seeing him in training everyday and knowing him as a person both on and off the pitch. The fact they couldn’t wait to send him on a number of long term loans tells me there was more to it than simply performances.

We sent him to KAA Gent, he came back, we then sent him straight to Trabzonspor on a TWO year loan deal!

He then went to Leipzig - they then loaned him out to Real Sociedad (Twice) and when the second of those two loan spells ended they took a €10M loss on him and sold him to straight to Villarreal. It’s a strange one for sure.

And then he won the La liga A goalscorer of the year. Strange world? Or did he? I didn't look it up but he was definately top 3.

Who’s confident we’ll get in what’s required.
No chance this late in the window.
I’m going for one permanent, probably Pinot announced Monday morning (so too late for the Villa game) and one loanee from a big club.
Then the inevitable ‘we tried to get a couple more across the line, but it isn’t easy.
Never is when you leave your Xmas shopping until Xmas Eve.

I'm confident we'll have 3 in by Sunday & maybe 2 on deadline day...Parish loves a deadline day!

In fairness didn't we do 4 on deadline day last year?

If the transfer window was just a one day auction - draft day style - we'd probably be the best team in the world!

I imagine United are talking to Glasner's people and he will have a decision to make.
Parish is giving the impression that he knows Glasner will be gone in 12 months and thinking why should I spend big to satisfy him + if a rival comes in for him we can claim a release fee
Sorry for being so cynical

Never ascribe to malice what can be explained by incompetence. I’d almost like it if SP had such a cunning and well thought out plan. I just think we are rubbish at managing the transfer window

Whoever comes in now isn’t going to be playing vs Villa even if they are signed this evening. Far too little time to be ready.

For all Sarr did today - apart from that late break where he was hacked down - it would have been better to rest him for Villa. Perhaps he was saving himself for his favourite opposition. Villa are looking very blunt at the moment, luckily

Quite frightening that we could have the same bench or even weaker to play Villa. Almost like SP is quite happy writing off the first 7-8 games of the season, before wr have a full and settled squad.
Really hoped we would do it differently this year.

What this season has highlighted is that our true strength is our defence.

It could be argued that our central defensive unit is strong as any in the Premier League, perhaps not individually but as a unit.

With that in mind, I want Guehi to stay - even with the acknowledgement that he could eventually go on a free.

He rarely gives the ball away, is comfortable taking the ball into midfield launching attacks or on occasions switching the play.

His consistency sets the benchmark for the team, and it surprises me that some on here believe it will be straightforward to replace him based on us doing ok when he hasn't been available.

He's a Rolls Royce of a player who loves to defend - in an era when many defenders seem to have lost the art of defending.

Some will say can we afford to forego the £30m for him.
Well that's the great intangible, but I'm far more confident we'll have a better season with him in the team rather than without him.

IMO Yeremy (he doesn't like being called Pino) will be unveiled tomorrow at some point and will have been registered in time for Sunday. That doesn't mean he'll play on Sunday but he might at least be on the bench.

I expect more incomings before the close of the window.

West Ham killing their PSR, if not this season it's going to be next season

Why would they be killing PSR?

They have only spent around 82m for years they have spent way over 100m.

This season they have sold around 65m worth of players.

West ham are in top 20 clubs in world for revenue
