Zrinjski vs. Crystal Palace match thread

Whilst we were going for the winner we were clearly never going to get, I made dinner and had a fleeting thought. Imagine playing them with Eze, Olise or Wilf. It was depressing to even think it. All three would definitely score.

We really miss a player that can run into the box with the ball and get a penalty. Or even just run into the box with the ball.

There were some bright spots. Riad impressed. Likewise Sarr. Apart from giving the ball away for the Z goal, Wharton was very good. But Kamada, Pinot and Johnson seem too lightweight to make an impact. I always feel happier if we start with Hughes.

The important thing is to get behind our players - and the manager - in the challenging next few weeks.

A bit generous with Wharton .Agree Riad and Sarr .
Kamada poor .
Pinot one terrible free kick ,but two efforts on target .You can’t say he isn’t trying but yes disappointing.
Johnson ..I have no words apart from “does he expect to be payed for that “ ?

As for getting behind the manager that ship has sailed for me .
The players who are probably getting a bollocking are looking at him thinking who the f**k are you to slag me off ,”what do you care ?”
I know it’s not very professional, but it looks like this with the performances we are witnessing

There's a distinct lack of what can be termed "competitive spirit" in the side. That is, the joy of playing with your teammates in pursuit of a positive result through an equal amount of skill and effort and taking responsibility. It needs a strong manager now, equally adept with the carrot and the stick. These players look lost and in need of strong guidance.

Glasner should have been shown the door weeks ago.
Yep... The moment he gave that interview and was asked about his position after announcing his intention to leave at the end of the season where he said "Whether I'm here until the end of the season or not I don't know and I don't care"

Right there was the moment to show him the door. As soon as you have a Manager who says that he 'doesn't care' if he's at a club or not then his position becomes untenable and he needs to be dismissed.
