You say that but most of our God Squad have gone, Ward, Guehi, Ebz and Lacroix. Maybe we needed to up our quota to keep the 'big man' on our side!
Really. From the clips I've seen he likes quite promising. Obviously if he comes it'll be a big step up but I'm confident he'll make a bigger impact than Johnson for a third of the price and I'd imagine much lower wages!

I’m sure he has been primarily signed for his ability, but if there is a commercial benefit to signing Tomiyasu as a second Japanese player, I’d guess Gozo also has that in joining Chris Richards.
The fan base for the Premier League in the States has potential to grow and being part of that, with a developing talent from there can only help the revenue/wages challenges we will have if we continue to aspire to play in UEFA competitions.

Makes sense as some clubs like Liverpool have become very popular in both the US and Japan. Japan so especially. Strangely enough, Brighton is currently the most popular club in Japan because of Mitoma.
One of the unique things about Gozo is that he is a Mormon and they have rarely had players in the Premier League (I'm pretty sure he's only the second). So I wouldn't be surprised if we become the most popular team in Utah (where there are over 2 million of them).
They just need to be able to perform or they are out the door, no matter how popular they are.

i was in Gozo this year for a few days and then Malta. Malta was way too crowded I preferred Gozo, just saying.

Will be there on a cruise stop next month. Was crowded the last time I had a cruise stop there.
The day we were in Valletta there were three enormous cruise ships, apparently they all come in on a Tuesday or a Wednesday (I can't remember which). It was horribly crowded until the afternoon when they all started to return to their ships.

We will buck the trend with a Thursday stop this time - last time was a Saturday.
You might be lucky, I just looked up my diary, it was Tuesday when our guide said that the weekly cruise ships came in. Enjoy, there is a short history film show called the Malta Experience well worth it. The Lascaris War rooms are also good (where the war was fought against the Germans). St John's Cathedral and the Grand Masters Palace.
If you only have time for 1 thing I suggest you head to the Barrakka Gardens very pretty and a fantastic view of the harbour.
