World's most famous landmarks: How many have you been to?

Yes I think Karl Pilkington was pretty much right. Who needs it a?
Some people are attracted to places that look like hell holes to me.

India? It's a shithole.
Russia? Really?
Egypt? Great Pyramids but a total dump.
South America in general? Aside from the archeology, see nothing appealing about it. Most of the interesting places are a right trek to get to.

I stick to places that offer a certain standard of living. The wildest place I've been to is the Maldives unless you consider the Southern States as wild. 🙂

I know it’s a different conversation, but with regards to a certain standard of living, I’ve never got the camping thing, you have a week or two off work for your holidays, why would you want to spend it living like a refugee?? Hotels are popular for a reason!!
But whatever floats your boat I suppose

As previously mentioned, there's so much , just in SE London. the Croydon underpass, South Norwood clocktower , Crystal Palace Park, the towering stacks of Purley Way IKEA.
All wonders of engineering in their time 😵😵

Not to forget the piano in Selhurst Station for those interested in music and art.

One of the finest Championship golf courses in the world, and I've played all 18 holes. 53 over par

Bognor Regis Crazy Golf

Horniman museum. See the world in 3 hours. All the stuff Horniman nicked on his worldwide travels 🙂

Horniman might seem a bit emptier, because i think some of the donor countries asked for their things back. 🙂

I've seen the pyramids at Giza. Very very impressive. I think that's the last remaining Wonder of the ancient world.

I've also seen the crooked spire at Chesterfield and been on the train to the top of Snowdon, (or Yr Wyddfa for the purists). Each the most excellent of experiences in their own way.

Been to 16 of the landmarks and all but Russia and Mexico of the countries.

It may sound impressive, but most of the countries I have only seen the airport, a hotel, a restaurant and one or two of the main hospitals (having worked for Medical companies the last 27 years).
