Wilfried Zaha

No bad idea in my opinion. He was our hero back then but that was then. Agree with everything has said about he would sulk and would give off entitlement vibes and this would affect the team, who for the last few seasons seem really together. We cant afford to risk upsetting this..

Yes, he was magnificent. But the time to let him go was when the club did. Move on.

Got us promoted then kept us up single handedly for years. To call him ‘toxic’ is a bit strong imo. And how do you know the Americans were fed up with his attitude?

Complete nonsense.

We have achieved more without him compared to with him.

He did not single hand get us promoted the whole team did and he was part of it. (Glenn Murray that season scored 30 goals)

The guy is toxic as I said before look at all the clubs he has gone to and all of them wanted him gone in a small amount of time (ex Palace managers have even hinted he was very difficult)

The Americans have not signed hm so again there is the evidence and did you even see what he did over there he was getting into fights and moaning at his own players a lot.

People need to wake up and see reality when it comes to Wilf (The guy did have talent which a large % he wasted but he was always very overrated as well)

Let people remember more of the good times and leave it be we was awful towards the end spending more time sitting on the floor complaining all the time and that has not changed since he left.

Agreed.
It must, though, be galling for Wilf that:
  • having basically kept us in the PL almost single-handedly
  • having come close to winning the FA Cup in 2016
  • having turned down the club's offer to go after Champions League football in Turkey
he's missed out on the club's finest ever days at Wembley (twice) and Leipzig.

He's seen players he played with (and probably viewed as inferior) pick up the medals.

I still don't want him back because the club has moved on and I doubt Sage would want him after the Lyon incidents.

Sky says he's just using the facilities to train alone whilst he searches for a new club. No plan to re-sign him.

I love the guy and a club legend but it wouldn't make any sense. We've moved on and so has the league. Hope he finds a decent club though.

Most influential player in the last 20 years and possibly in our history and you come out with that garbage. ‘Overated’. Are you kidding? And Murray wouldn’t have scored half that many goals without Wilf. You really are ‘Grumpy’ aren’t you. Shameful.

No , why
He does not have the pace anymore
He will not last a full 90
He will deter Ty from pressing forward
He will blame others
He will spit dummy at training
He will unbalance the training & changing room

His contract didn’t get renewed in USA , why - because of the above

We already have Mateta, Strand Larsen, Nketiah, Sarr, Pino, Guessand, McNeil and Franca competing for 3 forward positions. Feel as the though the midfield, CB and LB are the areas we need to strengthen.

I was never particularly happy with how he left the club and it had been going on for years, with the transfer request the day before the season began a particular low point.

He was amazing for us but his constant tantrums were annoying and led to him being targeted more.

I don't think we need him anymore, don't think he really improves us and feel as though our success has been built on team spirit and togetherness, not strops.

I assume he is only training with us and hope it goes no further. Doubt he'd even be cheap.
