Wilfried Zaha return

I am not obsessed with Wilf because in the past few seaons we had other icons in Eze and Olise but they have gone to higher things (and very successfully too).

But now what have we? Wharton has not yet fulfilled his talent and Pino has struggled to show the outstanding talent he has.

True, Wilf is not a Glasner type player, but he is (or was) an outstanding talent and one of our own. As Glasner is leaving he would be worth a punt. If you see clips of him for Charlotte in the MSL it shows maybe he is past his best but still has the ability and the fire power we lack.

He is undoubtedly a maverick but he can score goals, a facility we seriously lack.
Wharton won't fulfill his full potential at us. He is a world class player in the making.

And as much as I love Zaha, I would have taken him back maybe 2 seasons ago. Now I'd imagine he'd be seriously off pace and playing in the MLS, I think he'd struggle back in the Premiership, aged 33. The only Zaha I want to see at Palace is the mural on Park Road.

I want the mural gone.

He is 33 years old and has played 4 games in the MLS this season ( which is about League 1 level ) and scored no goals. He is better suited to Croydon Athletic to see him into retirement.
In fairness, the season there starts in March and Charlotte FC have only played four games so far this season.

Would also highly contest it being at League One level nowadays. The likes of Birmingham, Lincoln, Charlton, and Cardiff would get absolutely pummelled in the MLS.

ok, it's championship level, but at 33 and after underwhelming spells in Turkey and France, both lesser leagues than the Prem, it's fair to say Wilf's best days are past him now.

Yes he did very well for us and he got very well remunerated for those efforts.

Please can we move on.

I speculate that if Wilf was playing against Larnaca he would have missed the chances that Sarr had.

The Times headline:
'Prolificate Palace taken the Distance'

could have applied to so many matches of late.

Had Wilf played he would have been sent off.

He would never play under OG anyway he wouldn't put up with his attitude.

Yes paint over it with one of Kamada……..roaring with delight as he scores his one and only goal against Norwich in the carabao, Worthingtons, littlewoods, Carling, milk cup 🤣
I don't know fully what to say as obviously I always loved Wilf. But also he was loyal and disloyal and good, bad and average. I disagreed with how Wilf left, he should have won stuff with us. But also, honestly, f*** him now. It's over.
