Great player in his prime, not such a nice person - and yes I’ve spoken with him several times, so do have some personal experience. We are much better off without a character like that in the dressing room.

I think the truth is hitting home with Jude Bellingham as well at the moment, you can be the greatest player around but if you’ve got a bad attitude and get too big for your boots, you’ll stink the place out

I guess we don't always have to pick a side in a debate, but I take great joy in Mateta laughing and joking with his team mates and am glad he's around. Nothing changes what an immense player Wilf was in his prime, but he ran his own fan club.
