Why Parish shouldn’t resign!

I was self-employed and ran my own business would that be alright.
I was not knocking your efforts to be self employed or even run your own business, but can you honestly tell me that nothing ever came up in all that time that you hadn’t planned for?
If so you are a better businessman than most and also somewhat a mystic Meg

I recognise Steve Parish for his longevity and service to our club. Over the years Steve has demonstrated unwavering commitment, integrity, and professionalism, contributing significantly to the revival in fortunes of CPFC.
Steve has been at the helm during our 13 consecutive seasons in the PL and of course the FA Cup victory under his 'Watch' brought joy to us all.
👍

Of course, things came up during that time, but as I learned while I was in the Army, you get on with it and get over it.

This post is far too sensible for its own good. Parish out, Chinese billionaire conglomerate in!
Do you prefer the Chinese to the Americans then? Not me!
I am happy Palace is owned by $20 billion asset valued Yanks. It would however be good to hear from them occasionally on what their plans are for the future of Crystal Palace.
I should add I am happy they keep their faith in SP, Chairman and a minority shareholder, as he undoubtedly knows way more about football in the UK than they do and has even greater knowledge on Palace, Selhurst Park, its surrounding area and how it ticks. Very important.

Can't disagree with any of that.

But he's only human and mistakes have been made along the way.

And I think the approach to this season has been one of them.

I for one don't have the feeling that we are building on the success of last season. While acknowledging that you can't just wave a magic wand and give the manager everything he wants, it was inevitable that our already thin squad would struggle to cope with the demands placed upon it this season.

And I still can't get my head around the possibility that Parish was willing to let Guehi leave on the last day of the last window until a late Starmeresque U-turn.

Steve turned 60 recently. Had the new stand been completed as originally planned then I think he would have already stepped down by now.

I see him staying on until that work is finished. After that it's a bit of a step into the unknown.

I can’t imagine Willo in a yellow Ferrari🤣
I do not possess a Ferrari but a kind gentleman has acted as a 'Chauffeur' in such a vehicle with 'Yours Truly' in the passenger seat.
It was red of hue with a personalised number plate and my word it was rather swish.
It is my intention to purchase another new vehicle in 2026 but it will not be a Ferrari !

You want a old classic Jag Willo

So do you accept that you can’t plan for everything or eventuality and have to adapt to changing circumstances? despite your previous post
“If you run a business and don't plan for every eventuality, more fool you”
As fans, we do not have a fraction of the information on the running of CPFC, and the constantly shifting sands of running a premier league team. Despite this most supporters still think they could do a better job!

Steve Parish is a man of unimpeachable integrity, he possesses real gravitas and presence and is a gentleman who commands great esteem. His clarity of thought is worthy of admiration.
In my humble opinion, his stewardship of our club has been exemplary.
I tip my Palace Fedora.
👍 👍
Blimey! Do you do job references. 😆
