Who'd be a Charlton Fan

when you think about it, West Ham moved 4 miles Westward in the last decade or so. So the average kid growing up in Greenwich could easily hop across the river and support a bigger club, a club with more chance of getting back into the Prem and staying there.....better than Charlton anyway. Plus many of the kid's school-buddies will be making the same decision.

That must have really squeezed the Clowns in between Millwall, Leyton Orient & us.
The Clowns would probably benefit from some breathing space out in Bromley or Orpington.

Tell me about it.

When we were owned by Goldberg I knew a guy who worked for the club. At first he was okay then he couldn't stop crowing about our woes it was quite childish and pointless having a conversation with him.

However as soon as Charlton got relegated he disappeared and I have never seen him since. The only consolation I got was that the club he loved and left a good job in banking to join sacked him due to their financial problems.

I'm not one to bear grudges, I have Charlton and Millwall mates, we are all pretty realistic about our clubs and can talk sensibly amongst ourselves. However I would love to see this guy and give him some back.
But….. who the f*** is laughing now? 🤣🤣

When I was a young boy an uncle took me to Palace one week then another took me to Charlton the following week. Eventually my Dad told them I was getting confused and needed to make a decision. Luckily my Palace uncle bought me a season ticket and that was it! I now look back at all the great games watching Palace- Man Utd 5-0, Burnley, Liverpool 4-3, Cup Finals, Europe etc and what have they done? A play off win v Sunderland and that’s about it. Thank God for that season ticket in 1972!

I was always Palace but like you my dad often took me to Charlton when we played away. I don't hate Charlton and I have been many times and have Charlton friends. In my case it was just one jerk who ran their supporters club.
