I don't think Pino is looking to go down in the way Uche does. Uche is a unit, clearly a strong man so I find it allthemore pathetic the way he goes down when touched. Pino is more lightweight and (I think) genuinely knocked over because he's not built his Prem strength yet.

I think this is a very simplistic framing.

For reference, I think Devenny is pretty shite and not a PL player, but he is much better out of possession than the other 3 mentioned, despite their superior talent - that's why he was preferred.

You can obviously disagree with that decision, but framing it as 'poor talent identification' seems unfair.


On Uche; I really don't think he's demonstrated anything suggesting he's worth a sizeable investment - one moment of quality in the Conference League, and he's been basically anonymous outside of that.
