Where is Parish?

All this bile against Glasner, but what if he is right? And I suspect that a lot of us think he is.

He suggests that the "powers that be" - that's Parish are happy just to not be relegated each year and I think he is right. What ambitious manager is going to stay at a club like that? What is the point of a £200+ million stand if we can't fill it? We have sold Olise, Andersen, Eze and Guehi since Glasner arrived. With the exception of Munoz and Lacroix we have replaced them largely with punts and potential.

Glasner seems particularly upset he was only told one day before the Sunderland game that Guehi would ge going. It sounds like the same situation with Eze. We know we are a selling club but where is the succession planning or any form of planning?

In my 53 years of supporting, I think Glasner is the best manger we have had. Lanzo says he is a"one trick pony" but what a trick!

None of us know, but I suspect Glasner was assured of player investment that would move us out of the 12th-16th range every year.

I though Glasner spoke with a passion and honesty that we can only dream of from the Palace hierarchy.
He may have a point yes, but go and call your boss a useless c*** in front of the firm and see where it gets you.
That’s the point, although OG has form for this as it happened at Wolfsburg as well I think.

I agree. Not just about money but checking every clause in the contract before formalising something. I would hope there would be a non disclosure agreement which would stop any more of the kind of nonsense we saw tonight.

That takes time, but I expect he was on the phone to the lawyers as soon as he heard the things Glasner said and that they were on the phone to Glasner immediately afterwards warning him not to say any more.
I would hope that the club applies the speed, caution and thoroughness you describe to everything else as well. I assume that Glasner doesn't really care whether he receives his salary for another five months or not; he's hardly going to go hungry. If the five months' salary is so crucial for us (we have kept players on for months and years who have only taken up space in the treatment room), he is probably right in not wanting to continue. I think it's complete nonsense that there are any juridical consequences for his statements after the match, think of them what you want. But then again, maybe I'm seeing everything too dramatically or not dramatically enough.

After the presser dummy spit and Glasner saying he doesn’t care if he’s fired , Steve is probably checking Glasners contract for behaviour clauses to see if he can fire him without compensation .

That dummy spit in the middle of a transfer window seems like a deliberate attack to undermine the club . Disgusting .

Total loss of respect for OG . Will be disappointed if he’s still coach come
Monday , but if he is , there will be a reason .
In the space of the train journey from Sunderland to Perth, Glasner went from 20/1 to be the next managerial casualty to joint favourite with Thomas Frank.

I'm guessing he will get mutually agreed compensation and he did deliver major silverware.

Imagine if you went mountain climbing for 10 days without a phone signal and just turned the fucker on tonight.

I'd probably be a bit tired. And possibly horny.

Parish is first on the TV when something good happens but has now been strangely silent.

Possibly as Glasner has a point. He has been sold a lie by the board who under Parish have had a golden chance and blown it.

But even though Glasner is right and has told it how it is, he has signed his own death warrant and will be gone this week.

Guess he has another job lined up.

But ultimately truth hurts Parish needs to step up as for many on here he lives on the past glory of saving the club a long time ago

People forget Simon Jordan saved the club once to.

We need parish now more than ever. He will steady the ship and rebuild the team while keeping us mid table. Perhaps one last time before heading off into the sunset?

We will need a complete rebuild in the summer almost like 2021 all over again. New manager and a younger team. I only wish we had Dougie looking after the signings.
Parish is out of his depth... we finally get some success and then 7 months later we are straight down the toilet

I'm watching old episodes of One Foot in the Grave and on the back of Victor Meldrew's paper the headline was - Palace Axe 6 Goal Perry. There are some constants in life.

Agree with this. OG not the first to have been led up a garden path under this Chairman

Yep, he is our greatest manager, brought us the highest of highs, and our hierarchy keep on letting him down.

We promised him more in summer, we didn’t even attempt to deliver.

We promised to make it up in January, again we are failing to do so and we are selling our best, when we don’t even have depth.

And to top it all off it seems we are doing it without even talking to the manager who is supposed to work with it all.

Any manager would be fed up and you can tell Oli is. He’s given a lot of chances to the club, he’s made his thoughts well known long before now. The blame has to lay with the board.

We had the opportunity to build on a possibly once-in-a-lifetime situation and we’ve fritted it away.
