What’s the point of Palace

Can somebody tell me how I can a transfer to another club please. I fear we as fans have witnessed the greatest day we will ever have and my head can’t take any more bashing against the wall at our transfer strategy or rather lack of it.

I fancy a bit of champions league and a title push. Was thinking of following Ebbs to the emirates or possibly the blue half of Manchester…


…If only it was as easy for fans as it is for players and managers. This window is doing my head in. Just get some f***ing players in so our world class manager doesn’t just walk and our amazing starting 11 don’t drop down dead from exhaustion. I’ve tried to be cool about it but it’s now becoming self harm. FFS please sort it out.
 
That bleak day when we didn't officially exist after Jordan and our reincarnation I got to the point of trying to decide between Wigan and Bolton, purely on proximity. Dismissed the idea of Manc or Scouse teams. We do probably have a transfer strategy, what it is who knows? probably buy cheap , sell high, make excuses a loan or two in desperation. It's the Parrish way. If Glasner walks and we drop, I'll still support us,it's our owners who will take the financial hit and will serve them right.

We wont get relegated but lets just say we did SP would have to be the first person to go.

I imagine working with Glasner would be an attraction to some prospective purchases. The fact that this depressing window has all but determined that he will leave next June is just another reason why we have problems getting good value players over the line
 
As much as I get annoyed at Palace, would I like it if we were rich, with loads of highly paid stars and a shiny new stadium out of town? Being first on MOTD, being everyone's second, or even first team? Everyone in London walking around in our tops? Being able to buy our kit off the shelf in every country? Playing Barcelona away in Champions League semi finals? Having Shearer, Lineker, Rooney, Neville, Carragher saying we're great? Jeff Stelling abandoning Hartlepool and donning the Sash in a new football show largely dedicated to how great we are? Sky hanging around outside Old Trafford discussing Palace transfers and tactics?
Would I? Forgotten the question now. Anyway, I suspect you see the Palace conundrum.
For those less gifted at reading this stupid post: we support Palace because we are the underdog don't we?
Small things are glory for us. I know it's always largely depressing - but we do it because we do. I can't even imagine supporting another Premier League side.
Non league would be possible just about but how could I ignore Palace results? Impossible. I'd still somehow know the full team and every result wouldn't I?
Funnily enough, I gave up on football for a season before. When Paul Nixon was killed. That made me think it wasn't worth it. Particularly the scummy way Utd acted. For those at the match - they know what I mean no doubt. I've hated Utd ever since. And let us not forget, we literally thrash them these days. How can we not love that?

In 8 years you've made 1600+ posts on this site and probably spent the equivalent of 2/3 years reading other posts. Add to that time spent reading elsewhere about Palace, going to matches, watching matches, reading post match reviews, taking about matches/players/managers/relegation possibilities, and that's another huge chunk of your life gone.

If it weren't for Palace, you'd probably have had to have spent most of that time talking to your wife, doing stuff around the house or going shopping with her.


And you dare to ask what the point is? 😮
