welcome to Brennan Johnson

Players need to be reminded. If they want to be transferred, they need to be performing well, in the shop window. They should be performing in any event. And that's down to the Manager. Let's hope they new guy taking the reins is already doing his homework on us.

Clearly the Wales manager had problems with him too.

I have never experienced or heard of any antipathy towards the English and I have visited Wales several times over a protracted period.
I admit I have never visited North Wales.
Lucky you! You should have been at Twickenham in the seventies, when they beat us eight times in ten years. The Twickenham car park in those days was like a vast meeting of the Conservative party, and how those Welsh fans loved "sticking one up us" (Willo, I know you like quotation marks). How they mocked us (unlike the Irish, Scots and French, I should add), and I still recall getting into my reasonably smart car after the match and hearing one of a group of yobs shouting to his mates, "Oh look, he's been allowed to borrow daddy's car." Prats.

I have had the misfortune in working in North Wales, Bethesda & Blaenau Ffestiniog, they hate anyone who doesnt speak Welsh & proper hate the English, worked with a bloke from Cardiff they seemed to really hate him, but then he was a proper knob!

As I mentioned I have visited Wales on several occasions but not in the north of the principality.
I recall several years ago visiting the 'Stradey Arms' in Llanelli which was awash with customers watching rugby. At the bar it was very evident that I hailed from England and the locals were very welcoming and charming, one even offering to buy me a tipple !
I have had similar welcomes in other Public Houses in Wales.
No antipathy towards the English !

No other country calls a country a pincipality in reality it is a Suzerainity.

My thinking exactly, I had to explain this to the Mrs last night while watching a chunk of Northern Ireland’s game

It always crosses my mind it must seem strange to foreign clubs when the northern Irish play the same national anthem as us
Like it or not -it is the only NATIONAL Anthem. THE Welsh and Scots play their own local tunes.
