Me too. The 'uncontrolled' part of me has always thought that if somebody goes on to commit a crime, that the person responsible for their release faces the same subsequent punishment, getting double the punishment if the offender absconds. Should focus the mind, but it's never going to happen...

I specifically didn't say judges, just the person responsible for the release into society of the subsequent reoffender.

I think the difference here is that the mass murderer was held under mental health conditions rather than just standard murdering terrorist conditions.
