So funny how those who claim to be the biggest self-proclaimed ‘patriots’ rush to defend this country’s biggest enemy and security threat.

Funny kind of patriotism.

Being neutral isn't defending anyone. I'm interested in what's in Britain's best self interest....which isn't unwinnable and unaffordable wars.

Anyway, being a patriot isn't really anything you understand beyond its demonisation.

Yep, Ukraine aren't going to be made to make peace with Russia.

The only difference on offer for them is the size of the cheques coming down the pipe to fight it.....unless maybe they sign away another part of their future with that mineral deal.

If they want to carry on the current irrational strategy it is their right to do so.

I honestly don't really get our current strategy....it's just a straight up denial of reality....but hey.

If we send troops I'll support the troops, even if I think it's completely nuts....I mean everything we do nowadays is just like an old fruit 'n' nut case advert.

I recall going ot the Farnborough airshow in the early 1990's, after the Iron curtain had come down. For decades the West had been told how aged and decrepit the Russian military was.
Imagine our surprise to see MIG's at a Western air show that had much more advanced avionics that the western aircraft. Doing the Cobra manoeuvre by the Russian aircraft was a spectacular thing to witness for aircraft anoraks.
Now the Russians have shown they have hypersonic missiles, capable of avoiding most air defence systems.

What I'm saying is, don't necessarily be lulled into thinking that Western weapons systems is always the best.

Tbh I struggle to see the advantage of that fancy move, the only reason you might use it is if a enemy aircraft is very close on your arse, in which case you are likely to have already had a sidewinder up the tailpipe, and if not put yourself low and slow, a death sentence in knife fights, open to a gunshots - embarrassing flying. .Thrust vectoring though, the Harrier could do it properly. That "falling leaf" stuff looks great at an airshow and in Top Gun Maverick, but Tom, what was he doing? Perfect place to light him up.

Those MiG29s at Fairford did a great display back then 😁

All that aside those days are over, it's missile tech and good radar that wins the day, and those Russian birds are LARGE airframes and give off quite the reflection, and the biggest threats are missiles. Kinzhal is a cruise missile really, just accellarates near to it's target.

Peace is not achieved by appeasement. Or starting negotiations by showing your opponent all your cards and p*ssing on all the other players.

Trump did nothing to de-escalate North Korea. He made a fool of himself. Nor did he get a cease fire in the Middle East. That was negotiated prior to his term. He is doing his best to destroy the cease fire and encourage the hard right Israelis to resume the fighting with his idiotic ideas.

The war in Ukraine is entirely down to Putin and his desire to bring Ukraine back into the Russian sphere of influence. Trump’s actions in dealing directly with Putin shows he doesn’t care about that at all. He wants to plunder Ukraine and divi its resources up. Just as he has set his sights on Greenland.

From the USA being the big protector of democratic values it has overnight become the big bully who steals things from the vulnerable. Uncle Sam has turned into a vampire.

Far from being a peace maker Trump is a peace breaker. The peace of the world has been all but guaranteed by the USA. These are now very dangerous days.

Nobody deserves the Nobel Peace Prize less than Trump. Even you deserve it more and you don’t deserve it at all.
