Denied it, still does despite the Amsterdam cops confirming it.

He's a nutcase and security risk.
 
I am not surprised Israeli fans seem somewhat violent. I would be pretty angry if I knew half the world would kill me in a heartbeat. Ironically they probably would me; but I don’t live in a country which is fully surrounded by countries that do.

Do we really still need to speculate as to whether Maccabi fans are violent? Given all of the recent examples, I don't think we need to keep up the pretence that they're not.

I don't know why the police chose to follow the path they did, but I suspect they were very conscious that any action against Israeli fans would result in the usual, lazy antisemitism claims, with much of our media and political class on Israel's payroll, and so wanted to make their case as 'strong' as they could.

As I've said, I think it was moronic and wholly unnecessary, and I do agree that heads should roll - in any circumstance, the police shouldn't be fabricating evidence.

This stinks.

He retires after taking the blame. Labour making big noises about how unhappy they are with the situation. I don't buy it.

I believe that he was instructed to do it and 'persuaded' to take the rap with a nice retirement pay off as reward. Maybe the alternative was something less palatable.

I thought someone was messing when they said Marc Guihes middle name was Israel. I've just seen it's real and I'm astonished he was allowed to play at villa park this season 🤣
