On paper we’ll find it tough to keep the run going against a good side who’ve played less football in the past week. Villa have not had the best start though and they haven’t scored yet so I’ll be very optimistic and say we’ll grind out a nil nil.

I think you’re right Dave, if we’re going to get anything it’ll be grinding out another draw. But I’ll take that as it’s our first Sunday game after a European away trip.
I’ll go 1-1

Quite strait forward, 2-0 Palace, and another sour puss face from Unai 😊

Why is it not true? Kamada is not a tackler and brings more energy to the team. Kamada runs around well as a spare player in midfield, but doesn't put in a shift like Hughes does. Hughes was player of tge match the last two games he played, while Wharton was more effective.

Kamada and Wharton were outstanding together at back end of last season. They offer something different as combinations. The key is Wharton who’s vision of what is in front of him is outstanding

Gonna need a tin hat after saying this but I prefer Hughes and Kamada to Wharton right now. Different types of players utilised for different things but if I could start 2 out of the 3 then I wouldn't pick Wharton.

Right, go ahead and give me my dressing down!

I don't think Wharton and Kamada works that well necessarily. We've played well in games with Hughes and Wharton as a combination - they complement each other. Hughes closes down. Wharton finds the space. It's our best combination.
Where Wharton and Kamada are fine is if the front line presses well enough.
Our issue is tiredness, plus Hughes might be injured and Kamada just back from injury. Wharton has not been at peak fitness either since the end of last season.
It's going to take a couple of games and a couple of new signings before we see the team tick.
However, I think we should narrowly win or draw this weekend. I'll go for 0-1 to the Palace.

No tin hat needed, a fair opinion, doesn’t mean I agree though 🤣
Kamada is still as useful as a chocolate tea pot and even if his passing occasionally goes astray we need Wharton’s forward passing, there’s still far too much looking for the easy pass sideways or back and Wharton at least looks to play the ball forward, as does huuuuuughes occasionally

It's going to be another black armband day for Villa fans. So soon after losing Ozzy Osbourne, they are now going to get a footballing humiliation at the hands of the FA cup holders, and Community Shield Champions.
Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, re-visited.
