US Politics

That's just a daft assumption. Just like the idea that the NHS would have collapsed if we hadn't had mass immigration and that the country would not have recovered from World War II if we hadn't had a few bus conductors from the Caribbean.

Why not reply to my other post with some counter points rather than some vague assumptions?

There is no way of knowing whether mono-cultural teams would be any more or less successful than multi-cultural ones or whether the cultural make of the local population makes any difference to a team's results. Obviously, it would appear to be highly unlikely.

There is, because otherwise our team would be ‘monocultural’ because all the best players in the area would be ‘monocultural’ (why you lot are so scared of just saying white I’ll never know).

Literally how meritocracy works.

Most of our team are from other countries!

There were pages and pages from the NPCs on here (and so called economic experts) saying the Trump tariffs would be a disaster BeCaUsE tHe MeDiA sAiD!
No, because they are.

That revenues have hit record highs was an inevitable consequence but no indicator of the actual impacts to the US or world economy.

Arnie sums up immigration to the US well.

Nothing wrong with it. Elon musk and Arnie were immigrants. They came to the US and gave back to the country. Just like our "multicultural" team. They are great examples of when immigration works.

Just this week in Ireland a son of immigrant parents came up behind police out of nowhere and shouted allu Akbar and then stabbed him multiple times.....this sort of violent "multiculturalism" is what we don't want or like.

Maybe have a walk through Croydon centre today with your phone out and you will see the kind of "multiculturalism" we do not like.

Remember Wilf? Ivory Coast born who moved over to south London as a toddler and came up through the youth system to essentially carry us in the Premier League for a decade?

Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Parents from DR Congo but Croydon born. That £50 million essentially built the new youth academy and training ground.

Victor Moses, from another refugee family, growing up in Croydon and going to Whitgift and his transfer fee helping us stay afloat.

Steve Parish embracing ‘south London and proud’ with Wilf, Sean Scannell, and Jonny Williams on a billboard as our early identifier and differentiator in his ownership to show that this is *our* part of London and what makes us ‘us’.

The HF with members of all sorts of backgrounds and very representative of the local area now globally recognised as one of the best fan bases not just in this country, but the world, with the support and tifos. Not even Wembley, but week in and week out.

But yeah, other than that, what has multiculturalism ever done for Palace?

It's my fault for going off topic, but I have to respond to such a daft post...

Nobody is denying the impact Moses, Wan-Bissaka and Zaha have made at the club – Zaha should probably have a statue built outside the ground one day. But every football club has black players – even the s*** ones! The Premier League is a global league so its clubs have foreign players combined youth from their catchment area. How are Palace any different?

The idea that South London players are unique to Palace is for the birds as they've contributed to other teams. Arsenal's Smith Rowe, Maitland-Niles, Nelson, Nketiah and Chelsea's Loftus-Cheek, Hudson-Odoi, Chalobah, Abraham, Guehi are some recent examples.

Statements like: "Where we are now as a club is in no small part to the multiculturalism of south London" also erases nearly a century of history that predates recent immigration trends. Palace were founded in 1905 and survived two world wars, financial ruin, relocations, and relegations long before modern multicultural South London took shape. And you've obviously never heard of the incredible young talent from the 'Team of the 80s'.
