Do I need to add an emoji to let you know I am being ironic?Well, if you argued that, you would be completely wrong of course!

As far as morally bankrupt and factually defective posts go that one is a prize winner. From you but not me. Killed loads with his stupid lefty laws. One life lost to an immigrant is worth his. Karma rules 👍

If the reports are true about Trump's health (and I am not so naive as to glibly assume they are) it could be the 25th amendment that sees Trump off.I don't think Trump will finish his full term. I can imagine Vance taking over at the end of the year or next year to give himself sometime before an election campaign. But who knows...Trump does love the spotlight so he may stay.
I think traditionally whoever is in power usually looses the midterms anyway? So perhaps the Republicans arnt too bothered about it?
England
Yes, if they select Newsom.Unless the GOP get rid of Trump asap they are going to get rinsed in the mid-terms.
Epstein, this war and the split within his own base would gift 2028 to the Democrats, not because anyone likes them but purely on Trump having fecked up this second term so badly.....Kind of the same way Starmer was elected.....by default because the Tories had failed so badly.
If both houses are lost in a landslide, then all the DEI, tranny crap, alphabet and anti white crap that the Democrats will mostly keep a lid on during the election campaign but were pushing during the Biden years will come back twice as strong and the borders will be straight back open to god knows how many more millions.

I don't see him stepping down. Isn't it more likely the term limit will stop him? The 22nd amendment. If the reports are true (and I am not so naive as to glibly assume they are) it could be the 25th amendment that sees Trump off.

The problem I see with it is it wouldn't give him the opportunity to issue all the pardons he owes to his cronies. More likely seems a deal made with Vance but that may not work because that requires Trump trusting Vance to keep his word and issue him with a pardon. Trump trusts no one.If the reports are true about Trump's health (and I am not so naive as to glibly assume they are) it could be the 25th amendment that sees Trump off.

Possibly.
The Democrats stepped up Harris after Biden's melt down and thereby avoided a constitutional issue. The Republicans could do the same with Trump if he publicly demonstrates a similar type of collapse in his health.
The difference with Trump is that, if his faculties deteriorate markedly to the point that he is no longer able to function in his role, would anyone notice a difference?

Child vaccine schedule reduced as Trump moves to dramatically shift medical power to parents
President Donald Trump signed an executive order recommending childhood vaccines for 11 diseases instead of the CDC's 18, separating the MMR shot.www.foxnews.com
Surely the pro vaccine crowd think it's a good thing that the US have brought it inline with the EU schedule and recommendations?

There are couple of different ways that the 25th could be invoked, the less likely is Section 4 (Involuntary Removal) as it would require not only the Vice President but the majority of Trump's Cabinet. Trump's Cabinet appointees are loyal to Trump and not to JD Vance.Possibly.

Generally, I would disagree with this. However, my daughter is studying history and English lit for her A-levels (high school diploma??). Her syllabus (that used to be about learning the history and literature of the nation she lives in) concentrates largely on Jamaican history and literature.
You can bet the general theme is slavery, evil colonials etc.
You could argue that we have such a small literature pool to chose from and a very limited history...
England
Why would you want her to learn how her ancestors stopped the Atlantic slave trade when she can learn pretend facts about Jamaica instead of how maintains one of the higher homicide and violent crime rates in the Western Hemisphere? Or how its economy fell apart at the end of British Rule because they were too stupid and corrupt to keep it functioning. But reggae, that is the important stuff.
We have the same issue as the number of African American authors is massively overinflated compared to their actual historical significance. Never before have so few claimed so much credit despite doing so little.
To be fair, since you created the English language and Twilight was written in English, you can be blamed for that. Compared to Twilight, maybe reading The Children of Sisyphus isn't a bad choice?

Biden wentThis is a bit unfair.
The Democrats refused to split and instead backed Biden fully right up until they couldn't carry on the lies no longer because of the debate......Even then they didn't split and all backed the word salad queen Harris.
With Trump....you still seem to be suggesting that the Republicans are all square behind Trump? That literally isn't the case. The right are far more principled on that question and there's been a massive split with Trump over the Iran war....which proved the last nail in that coffin's relationship along with Ukraine and Gaza.
The Democrats didn't split over Biden did they.....they waffle on about being against what's happening in Gaza but that didn't result in a split.
Whereas on the right it's literally two camps....Tucker Carlson and co and the White House.
England
No. Of course not.Would you say the same if it were trump!
Or when it’s trump , nah you wouldn’t or won’t.
Never liked or cared about biden so I don’t expect him to like or care about me.
