Because there’s quite understandably anger that there’s an armed security force seemingly above the law that are apparently allowed to kill with impunity running round the country with the blessing of the President?

I expect that the family and those around them will be. Hopefully away from the media.

Nationwide protests about the way ICE are behaving is something entirely different.

..........or Laken Riley, I've just walked past Trump Towers to get the subway & the usual suspects are there protesting, funnily enough you never saw them protesting ICE (or INS)when Clinton, Bush, Obama or Biden were in power.
No one disputes that ICE have been at fault on a number of occasions, but that doesn't excuse people willfully disobeying their orders to move on or get out of the way of their operations & therein lies the problem.
Way to many Libtards (& Democrats) going to bat for Illegals who are wanted on Murder, Rape, Child Abuse, Gang affiliation, drug smuggling, drug distribution & other serious crimes instead of engaging with their Congressman to clear the s*** out of the country but pushing for meaningful immigration reform for the people who are here just trying a living, the people who are peeling spuds & scraping carrots in your local restaurant & those packing products on a factory conveyor belt or picking apples aren't the problem but they are dragged into the argument because of frankly ill judged & the stupid actions of these protesters.

It's a fact that Ice agents (as federal law enforcement officers) have the legal authority to arrest individuals who are forcibly impeding, interfering with, resisting, or obstructing their official duties.

This idea that they have to wait around for specific role officers to do something that the law allows them to do themselves is wholly ridiculous.

When told to exit her car she chose to flee and the video clearly show the officer having to take evasive action......The left can make as big a deal as they like, but this is going nowhere.

It just isn’t a fact!

ICE have limited authority to arrest in very specific circumstances, such as if a person interferes with an arrest, assaults an officer, or ICE suspect the person of being in the US illegally. That doesn’t include someone making a protest by stopping in an inconvenient place, unless there was an arrest in progress. There wasn’t. Nor was there an “assault” on an officer, despite the increasingly desperate attempts to try reclassify a possible brush by a car wing as it was being driven away. The officer slipped on the icy road.

They had no authority over her, no authority to tell her to get out of her car and absolutely no authority to use lethal force to stop her. She was perfectly within her rights to drive away from the harassment.

I think you will find it was the other way around. She was the one doing the harassment.

If she had just followed law enforcement instructions she still be alive today. Better yet if she stayed away from them she would also be alive today.
