Trump is stirring up race hatred completely unnecessarily. There isn’t a “genocide” at all. Those taking up his offer are doing so because of the opportunity, not because they fear for themselves.

Shame on you for joining in.
Shame on you for being an apologist for the racist murder of white farmers in South Africa where, what passes as its 'leadership', turns a blind eye while chanting "Kill the Boer".

An anthem from the days of apartheid which has been banned by the ANC as unacceptable in today’s political environment but retained by one minority party as a reminder of the past. You will find a longer explanation in the link below. The words of old songs sung for nostalgic reasons should not be taken literally.

I condemn every murder but the simple truth is that there is no genocide in South Africa. It doesn’t exist other than in the minds of those seeking to stir up racial prejudice again.

Shame on Trump for listening to them and on you for believing him.

Some deluded people will say it's false where there is literally a video showing the genocide.
You are the deluded one to believe whatever Trump does!

That video did NOT show any such evidence. It was stitched together with clips taken from past events. The crosses shown were not graves but were erected as part of protests over two murders. There are, unfortunately, a lot of murders in South Africa but there isn’t a genocide of white farmers.

We remember how these weirdos had everyone behaving over the death of one black American criminal, something that came with rioting within cities and ruined blameless businesses as usual, while if significant numbers of white farmers are being murdered in South Africa it's denial and shoulder shrugs.

These people are....Well, they don't deserve our support, let's put it like that and the more what they say and think is exposed and challenged the more unpopular they get.

But of course you say that Lucy Connolly's words "burn down the hotels" should be taken literally.

They were contemporaneous with the events in Southport and alongside her other actions were judged in a court of law as being incitement.

That song is part of the history of apartheid. A disgraceful period of white supremacy and oppression along racial grounds. Most want to consign it to history and the government has distanced itself from it.

You cannot though stop a small minority from expressing themselves, even if they are unrepresentative. In much the same way you are allowed to hold your views.

Would you describe the US and UK going into Afghanistan after the terrorist attack on 9/11 as Genocide?
I think it's pretty poor to answer a question with a question, but it seems to be a habit of many posters on here.

I think both the US and the UK committed war crimes in Afghanistan, but I don't think it was a genocide, no.

Are you suggesting that the conduct of the US and UK in Afghanistan was comparable to that of Israel in Gaza?

Previous President Jacob Zuma!

And there's the answer with regards to Israel.

Most in the clown-car that is the South African government want to reinvent if with black supremacy and oppression along racial grounds - along with trashing what was once the most successful economy in Africa and further impoverishing ordinary black South Africans.

To try to conflate the George Floyd murder with imaginary events in South Africa is plumbing new depths. There is simply no evidence that this is true. Every murder is significant and South Africa has far too many but to suggest that “white” farmers are being specifically targeted is untrue.

Trying to inject racial motivations back into a country that suffered so appallingly from them, when they have done so much to recover from them and rebuild, is disgusting me and, I expect, to most people.

That is simply untrue. There will always be fringes. You prove that very well. They though are not in government. Just as you aren’t.

South Africa was successful. For some. Mostly because of their natural resources and the cheap labour that extracted it.

Now they are going through a transitional phase. During which there will be bumps and diversions but a clear destination.

Ok let me not bite at the nonsensical diversions.

On what basis do you claim there is a genocide taking place in South Africa, but not Gaza?
There is farm attacks where white farmers have been killed or targeted in South Africa.

Israels actions target Hamas. A terrorist organisation.

Hope that clears things up for you 👍🏻

Can I ask why you are so hung up on terminology?

We all know people are being killed, and we all know why.

Playing word games is hardly appropriate. Let any future court decide what to call it.

You live in a fantasy land and lack the willingness or ability to defend your views beyond soundbites - the most pointless type of contributor to a politics forum.
