US Politics

James Buchanan and Andrew Johnson are considered worse and possibly Warren G. Harding. There is a lot of "recency bias" with Trump - there are many Presidents about whom no one has any opinion.
No, I can't explain what anyone thinks.
Most people have never heard of the 3 you mention let alone have an opinion about them. How could they judge against Trump anyway? Different eras.

No, I mean those we have some experience of. Was Nixon worse? Not in my book. He resigned when caught cheating. Trump just doubled down on the lies.

Maybe those living in the US have a better insight than those living in Cornwall who get their information from media and contacts in the US who are democrats? Wasn’t Nixon removed from Office? Didn’t Bush Jr take us into a phoney war, the legacy of which we are seeing in the West now?
Nope.

Standing back from anything allows a wide perspective.

Standing close means you only see that directly in front of you. Being involved brings emotional responses rather than rational ones.

Nixon resigned.

I always wondered about Bill Clinton's comment on Hilary "It's her turn", it upset a lot of Americans smacking of Monarchy and privilege and disparaging the voters.

Slick Willy wasn't prone to gaffs so was it on purpose? Why would he do that? Well if you had been the most powerful man in the world would you really want to be known as the First Gentleman and spend 4 years trailing behind your wife kissing babies and doing a none job? Consciously or subconsciously I think he did sabotage her chances.

Biden's garbage comment about Trump supporters wont change the mind of the committed but if you were undecided and leaning to Trump it just might persuade you to vote for him.
It could also do the opposite because there is the element of truth it contains. Who wants to be tainted by association with some of the die hard MAGA nutcases?

If you feel like that then don't vote for him. Simple.

As a US citizen and die-hard Palace supporter I can and have cast a vote in this election!

People believe want they want to believe!
Nixon lied!
Bill never unbuttoned his trousers for pleasure.
Hillary didn’t destroy millions of incriminating emails!
Hunters laptop didn’t exist!

The list is endless and definitely includes Trump in the mix.

My voting criteria is policies over personalities and as they say the sun will rise again in the morning and life goes on!

So you honestly believe you have a better perspective of what’s going on in the USA than those living there? Wow!
Nixon resigned before getting the boot

'Supreme Court's conservative justices allow Virginia to resume its purge of voter registrations'.

They are 'as bent as a nine-bob note'.

👎

Better is a matter of opinion.

Different, certainly.

Nixon did resign. He probably would have lost an impeachment.

Trump didn’t. He knew that the Senate has become so tribal and the Republicans there so reliant on his endorsement that his impeachment would fail.

What does that say about the state of US politics?
