US Politics

He's a shtcnt. Stocks have utter tanked, that's a load of gains turned into losses for me. Wanker and his mates probably shorted everything just before too.

Your first assertion was that there was no evidence that Brits don’t like Trump. Not that they hate him. I provided pretty clear evidence of that, which isn’t actually needed. You only need to talk to others and you can easily reach that conclusion yourself. It’s self evident.
I said and I quote myself: "it is an opinion piece by someone with TDS. Take the claim that most Brits don’t like Trump there’s no solid data here to back that up, so it’s more his take than a verified fact"

There is no solid evidence provided for this and you have not provided this. There is approximately 68 million people in the UK. Show me the evidence they were all asked.

Part of me wants to buy more but I need to be comfortable that it's the bottom of a dip.

Peasants like me can't just switch it all to gold.

I have a feeling there's a bit of sabre rattling going on, DT had a big anti inflation message when campaigning, the tariffs will put pressure on inflation. I expect there will be some fairly quick offers of reciprocity at lower rates than today.

As far as I know there are no mobile phones made in the USA, could be wrong but that's an item everyone needs and is relatively expensive

I cashed in on a few last week when it was still a good price. 😅 I cashed in on the profit I'd made and then left the rest in the hope the market recovers.

I'll be getting that new car I was planning on getting this year just my timeline moved up. Most likely I will get a Tesla 😅

Hahaha. You really are the gift that keeps on giving. You want every single person to be asked before any opinion poll is valid in your eyes? Comical Ali levels of blind delusion.

Anyway, for the rational people, here is his latest YouGov polling: Donald Trump popularity & fame | YouGov

Popularity 16%. Actively disliked by 66%. But you can keep sticking your fingers in your ears and singing to yourself if you wish.

Of course you did.

We don’t do many opinion polls on US Presidents but this piece indicates how things stood a couple of weeks ago. Even you couldn’t argue that last week’s events would increase his popularity here:-

The guy that wrote that piece no more has a non existent syndrome than anyone else. He has opinions that resonate with most people in the UK and around the world. Including the USA itself. That’s an awful lot of people with an imaginary syndrome.

I watch both the US and UK coverage of US politics. The negative bias against all Republicans is pretty damn obvious, so it's no wonder many people don't like Trump or Vance.

The only way to know for sure if most Brits do not like Trump is to ask everyone 🤷🏻‍♂️

A bias opinion poll on a small number will not be factual.

I can easily go into a room of Trump supporters and conduct a poll saying they all like him. Likewise go into a room of looney libs and they will all say they don't like him 🤷🏻‍♂️

As such my comment remains the same. There is no factual evidence to say most people in the UK dislike the President.

It's got a bit to go yet in my view.

As soon as the Trump team start to talk positive negotiation with major powers....that's the bounce.

It's not going to recover to previous levels any time soon. Whatever the end result, tariffs that didn't exist before will still exist in some way, shape or form which makes companies less competitive globally and therefore their share price lower.

Even if Trump rowed back entirely on the tariffs he has spooked the markets enough to create long lasting uncertainty (which businesses and the markets hate the most) as well as erode trust with its closest allies and trading partners. The US has turned inward and other major economies and close trading partners are turning away from it, so it's not just going to be some automatic reset that sees things recover as quickly as he's f*cked them.
