Uefa Conference League

My cousin who lives in Dublin for 20 years said the area around Tallacht is not the best but highly recommended the Palace Bar near Temple Bar as others have ....i'm also relying on him for tix ..can't wait till get out there. He mentioned that Shelbourne are fairly decent fans but Shamrock Rovers who's stadium I believe is being used are a dodgy lot and best avoided...

You can get the boat from Holyhead from about £65 return.
Without a car!
Already got some cousins ready to become Shelborne fans to get us some tickets. If the allocation is only 500 the away end tickets will be like Willy wonka’s golden tickets!!
Just be wary about relying on the ferry times, I’ve been over and back twice in the last couple of months and Irish Ferries cancelled 3 of my 4 trips on the faster Dublin Swift. You get put on the next boat but it’s longer trip and you don’t get much notice.

Been to watch Rovers a few times and never seen any trouble, my family in South Dublin would consider themselves Rovers, it’s a community club similar to ourselves. Used to go to Glenmalure with my old man that was a while ago.

FYI flights to Belfast are currently cheap from Gatwick and then it's an air coach straight into Dublin. I've done it in about an 1 hour 25 mins before. I havnt done the train but I would imagine it's similar time.

The 8.35 flight Thursday morning is currently £38. Plenty of time to land and make your way down to Dublin!

Villa are probably better than all of them. And we won 0-3.
I recon Strasbourg and Dynamo are higher quality than Villa. The rest are definitely lesser than Villa though. Then again, I’m not sure what’s going on with the Villans so far this season, deffo been a drop-off.

This is the team that came sixth last season. By the looks of things we should be aiming for that spot roughly, this time around.

I am beginning to be bit concerned about the adequacy of the size of our squad and the impact of the extra competition (Conference League) may have on the first team players performance. I see their main priority as being on the domestic competitions. I have to confess that I am not a fan of UEFA but at least thankful that we did not succeed in our appeal. Forest may well find out that they have got the poisoned chalice. Unless the size of the squad can be increased and players rotated for adequate rest they may start to pick up stress injuries and burnout. I don't know what the magic number for the size of a squad is in these situations but perhaps other members can enlighten me.

You at minimum need 2 for each position even if the backup is significantly worse.

A good example is Nketiah for Mateta. In the early stages of the Conference League, that should be fine. His injury has complicated matters.

Munoz as the only acceptable RWB is not fine and an accident waiting to happen. He gets one muscle injury and we are done.

Sarr runs himself into the ground much like Mateta, I don’t see a sub for him either, especially if Glasner doesn’t rate Esse.

We must sign a RWB, right winger and one more attacker who can play at striker if needed at absolute minimum tomorrow.

I see us linked with no RWBs at all which is madness. Even if we get 4 through the door tomorrow (we won’t), if one of them isn’t a RWB cover then we can probably kiss the competition good by sooner or later. Knackered players will slip up during one of the knock-out rounds.

Starting to get worried?

Starting to get worried?
I’m actually a bit less worried now, although we clearly need some incomings, where Europe is concerned I’m not overly concerned. We’ve basically got 6 extra games between now and Christmas as it stands at the moment. That’s not a massive amount spread over three months, only three of which we’ve got to travel for. Obviously avoiding injuries is key, but I think fatigue wise, we’ll cope
