Uefa Conference League

Speculatively, now the dates are out. I could drive to Anglesey and get the ferry across to Dublin. Probably leave the car in Anglesey, so can have a few pints of Murphys.
All the germ of an idea at the moment. 😀

To watch Palace play in Europe. it's still a dream
Like walking on Eire 😀

I've spent the last hour online researching travel etc...

I can't do Shelbourne which I'm gutted about as I work for Royal Mail and not allowed to take time off in December!

I'm gonna do Strasbourg but not straightforward travel wise (I live in Horley)
Only one direct flight a day from Gatwick and it's an evening flight so out the question as I'll be travelling on the day and then staying one night.

No direct flights to Baden Baden. Can get a 90 minute BA flight to Frankfurt then a 2 and a half hour train ride to Strasbourg which is coming in about £180 all in return.

Or could just get the Eurostar from St Pancras to Calais then change trains at Calais to Strasbourg. About 4 and a half hours journey and about £205 return.

🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Bollo, Mrs Hillbilly wants to come on the potential Dublin trip to see the match.

I can't let her, because when she starts investigating Palace games in Europe , she'll start to question why we're playing Amsterdam FC twice away. (which is what i've already suggested the fixtures are 😀 )

The one in bold. If you go for difficult connections it's tiring, plus you'll spend money on food and drink (and hotel) if the journey times are long.

I will most likely do the home game AZ alkmaar on 6th November and get the Brighton game which will most likely be moved to the 9th November.

Premier inn was 130 for 3 nights in Epsom and will leave the flights till Brighton game confirmed 😀 surely they would have the game early on the Sunday tho?

Yeah I'm leaning more towards the Eurostar as well to be honest.. They pretty much run on time and very rarely cancelled.

I've already booked a hotel on booking.com with free cancellation. Just want to get it all booked in before prices start getting silly!

The match v Shels will be at Tallaght stadium a few miles from Dublin City centre.
Right now plenty of twin/ double rooms available for under €100/ 85 pounds. Or the Maldron Tallaght is right next to the ground around 120 pounds.

We are going out from City airport on the Wednesday , coming back Friday.

I went to Fredrikstad on the Thursday. Flight, train to Oslo, few beers, train to fredrikstad, match, train back to Oslo.
5 hours travelling on Thursday , then flight home Friday was too much.
flying out the day before the game , back the day after from now on.

I'm booked Dublin...ryan air gatwick rtn £245....arrive dub's 11.50 am.....get in...

Three nights at the Centrum 51 (Lublin) booked, 1st - 4th October. Come to 320 Złoty on Booking.com. That’s about 65 quid in the King’s English.

Flying from Heathrow to Lublin via Warsaw, then back via Warsaw to Gatwick. That came to 270 quid all told.

Just gotta wait for the matchday tickets to become available! I assume we can buy them via the club website in the usual way?
