Trepidation for the 26/27 Prem season ?

i will confess to bigger than normal trepidation HOL-Eagles.

1. Glasner Gone....new fella is good but without being Prem-tested nor Prem familiar nor bonded with our players under pressure.

2. A virtual feeding frenzy is occurring on all our best players.

3. The added heavy weight of European football on a Thursday evening followed by a tired squad returning to the Prem on a Sunday. No easy games in the Europa League. Many matches = many injuries.

4. Our newcomers have not really set the World alight. And so any other newcomers arriving in ? lots of money, not lots of good playing-statistics.

5. There were 4 truly shyte teams at the bottom of last year's Prem. Our inability to score did a big impact on our Goal-difference - we got away with it last year. But Surely Spurs will spend big money and the forthcoming season will be tougher ?

6. Our subs bench looks a bit threadbare. Pino injured. Any more WC injuries coming our way ?

As an Eagle, i have always been 'glass half full' and predicting the luftwaffe to bomb Selhurst again. How do you feel about the new Prem season ?

TBH I don’t know. Got my ST so all in again. I wouldn’t mind a cup and mid table again.

I was more concerned last summer with Sunderland and Leeds among the promoted clubs. This coming season it will be very difficult for Coventry, Ipswich and Hull to stay up though. If we finish below one of them we deserve to go down….

On the bbc's Ipswich page, they had a Q&A, one of the Q's was which 3 teams would be worse than them, Fulham, Palace, Forest & Leeds were the teams they thought would be worse than them & 3 of those would be relegated.

I always think we’re doomed to pitiful relegation, so anything else is a massive bonus.
I’d just be happy winning more of our home league games than usual, because that’s the majority of the games I go to and our home form has been poor for years. That alone should keep us out of trouble.

Who had heard of Glasner before he came to us .
He also was not Prem-tested .
We need to see what Sage is going to give us .
Some clues will be in the preseason matches coming up .
We are going to be alright as there a lot worse team than up .

Im looking forward to a new chapter in palaces history , he has proved he his top 10 in premiership possibly with 2nd to PSG , and going there off the back of lyon rise , So for me I can see a beautiful horizon

We will be fine. Another few more years before we get relegated I think.

The season west ham pop back up I'll be worried about the bottom 3.

I get what you are saying, but the 3 coming up are no good.
Sunderland, Brentford , Brighton, Bournemouth all got small squads and Europe next year.
Leeds won’t be great, Fulham lost their manager and best player.

The annoying thing will be Forest getting all the plaudits for decent league form, as they aren’t in Europe.

Think we will finish around where we normally do.

i hope you are right Eagle. But we have all seen the Europa League suck the life out of many English clubs. You need a lot of strength in depth.
It also helps if you don't give a shyte about the Carabou & FA cups.
