Trepidation for the 26/27 Prem season ?

Every pre season some doubts exist, a little more this time around. A new manager , a lack luster preseason. European, football added to our fixture list pushed us near the limit last season. Nothing has yet happened to really change that. After watching pre season games an experienced Centre back to play in the centre of three as Lacroux, did is badly needed. Give us that and we should still be in the league after 38 games if not by a mile.

It will be a disaster if we are not still in Europe by Christmas. It will probably mean we have only picked up two points or fewer in our first six games in the competition
 
I’ve been thinking we could do with an old steady head at the back to guide the more inexperienced players like Riad and Canvot. I can only image what Canvot learned from Max and Guehi when they were with him.
Would not have to play every game but I do think it would help. There must be a few around.

The main trepidation I feel going into the season is that Willo tips us to have a good season,
He’s a notoriously poor tipster so let us hope he tips a season of struggle.

Rest easy on that score. Walk into any bookies and you can name your own odds on that eventuality. Willo's ring tone is the tolling of a death knell.

With respect I have not opined that we are about to embark on a successful campaign, nor that it will be a season of woe.
Thus far I have kept an 'Open mind' on this matter awaiting further developments.

Were guaranteed to still be in Europe by Christmas, two of the group games are in the new year this season.

There were others in the article who also predicted that we will plummet through the dreaded relegation 'Trapdoor'.
Having recently spoken to those with no allegiance to the club (Or to Brighton !), the viewpoint is 'Gaining traction'.
 
I've seen several predictions that we may get relegated due to European commitments. And yet none tipping Bournemouth, Sunderland and Brighton even though they have the same. We of course have very experience of of this and managed last year.

I think as most of our signings have been low key, those predicting have only seen the couple of outs in our squad.
