Time to start doing Business Steve..!!

I think moses was valued at 10 mill, according to Jordan, Moses was getting sold, the creditors would have got repayed, everyone was happy. then out of the blue, the creditors demand thier money back, the club is placed into administration.

Allegedly this was orchestrated by Parish, who had some form of relationship with aglio, he used our financial difficulties as a way to get the club on the cheap. This is all from Jordan, who knows how true it is but it wouldn't surprise me.
Can you blame them?

Jordan can blame Parish as much as he likes but the bottom line was that Palace were not paying their bills if Jordan had done a better job Parish would never have been able to take over. I know someone who had a picture framing business and was owed thousands by Palace and got pennies. I have no sympathy for the man and every sympathy for the small creditors who got screwed.

If Parish persuaded some of the creditors to pull the plug that's a businessman spotting an opportunity.

A mate who worked for Charlton never tires of telling how Jordan and the Charlton CEO had a lunch where Jordan offered every single Palace player for sale.

How times have changed and we loaned them Rak Saki not that long ago.

The administrator reported virtually every day, as did Neil Warnock. We followed it all unravel to the point where Bredan Guilfoyle said he'd run out of money and we'd be liquidated in 24hrs. It was all over the news including Lloyds bank. You must remember the fans in London at the bank?

Of course i remember it but I don't know what point you're trying to make.

Of course not, like I said, we ended up owning our own ground and have been far more successful under Parish. Jordan upset everyone in football and they couldn't wait to dance on his grave, he was the master of his own demise.

Jordan is, was and will always be, a serial fantasist. I was prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt right up until his lie that he'd bought the ground was exposed for the bollocks that it was. He was prepared to blame everyone except himself when it was his bombastic bullshit and nothing else that took us into administration. He was a spiv who got lucky in mobile phones which led him to believe, erroneously and catastrophically, that he was some kind of wizard businessman.

As I said before if a person makes claims like SJ did and it's as you put it fantasy people taken legal action against you they wont allow you to sell books and keep attacking you with this.

SP has never done anything which speaks volumes some merit to it.

SJ couldn't get the ground directly so he arranged it via another party business people wont explain every loop hole or how they do things.

If he was lucky one hit wonder as you claim why is it he is worth more then SP currently is?

People have forgotten about he banking crisis as well which a lot of people lost large amounts of money or couldn't free up assets this is what happened to SJ with SP meddling in background to get the club for free (I remember even fans put in a load of cash and straight away he stopped that)

It really doesn't bother me but the way it was sold to us was, we were minutes away from liquidation, Parish never wanted to be involved in football but had to round up a group of wealthy supporters to save the club.

That's just not the case, he always wanted to own the club, he always wanted to be chairman, he loves the spotlight, he's on sky and talksport every other week, he does more interviews than every other chairman put together. I enjoy listening to him and seeing what he has to say.

What I dont like is if im Glasner, im the manager, I speak to the press, dont be comming on sky half an hour later and undermining what ive said, get out the spotlight and do your job as chairman. Im holding you accountable for our window, im holding you accountable for demotion to the conference league. Spend less time on tv, more time trying to sort signings out.

Personally dislike any limelight loving chairman: Doug Ellis, Alan Sugar, Peter Swales, etc, and Bob Lord at Burnley before them. Who knew who Liverpool's chairman was when they were winning everything, and more to the point, who cared?

We really dont look like we know what we are doing. After a stunning end to last season, we now appear flat and are desperately in need of new blood. Nearly every other team in the premier league has strength'd. Just a few short months, how things have changed.

Let’s get real here. If after winning the cup we were guaranteed to be in the Europa League as we rightfully should be , then the future was clear and the club would have signed players. BUT until we know the result on Thursday night we have NO guarantee of European football. So it’s obvious that the club can’t splash the cash until they know what kind of season to expect. It’s frustrating for everyone especially OG but if we get through on Thursday 3 decent players will be signed straight away.

Thats strange, we managed to sign Lacroix, Munoz, Olise, Eze, Guehi, Andersen, Wharton, Sarr etc without European football.

I am feeling flatter than a snake that’s been run over by a steam roller. Watching Eze in his gooner shirt was just about it for me.

However after smashing my head against the wall for the 1000th time this summer when thinking about Palace (I really need a life), I started thinking about Ollie’s presser.

He said getting numbers in was easy, he wants the right player/players.

Could he be having much more of a say and what’s been offered he just doesn’t fancy?

This is not a get out clause for the chairman. This is undeniably a massive cluster f*** s*** show at the moment but I have a sneaky feeling it’s not all on Mr P.

Anyway who knows, perhaps a stunning revelation will be announced tomorrow. Can’t say if it will be a player or olliewith his boots and kit on though

Dare i say it but after the De Zerbi first successful season and the take apart of the Brighton squad we are in a similar situation to what that lot went through. They got a European spot and we got two trophies and a European spot.

Unfortunately we are mid Prem pecking order (for now at least) and we have got a great return before the big sides have mugged us for our talent. I trust the current leadership group to rebuild though, Brighton have done so and so can we, hopefully better too.

I do, the debt was going to be repaid by the sale of victor moses, they wasn't waiting and placed us into administration. According to Jordan, it was orchestrated by Parish, who knew he would get the club cheap. Like i said this is all from Jordan and its his fault for being in that position. He was young, naive, upset everyone in football to our clubs detriment. But its extremely cut throat at the top in buisness and it wouldn't surprise me if Parish done what he needed to do to get the club. We're far better under Parish than Jordan, so im glad he did.
so the money from sale of Fonte to Southampton wasnt any good either and he was sold first , the value for Moses wasnt 10m , he was championship player not prem we got 2.5m maybe we could get 5 at best , your chopping and changing your argument's to bash parish , with made up storys , my dogs neighbour's parrot heard from the cleaning lady at the club storys

No im just quoting what Jordan said, I dont need to use how he came to own the club to bash him, this thread is about this transfer window and its been abysmal and indefensible. Even Glasner has publicly said how pathetic its been. Do you think Parish is gonna slide in your DMs or something if you keep blindly defending him.

I doubt Parish will lose any sleep over you holding him accountable for anything. You seem to have an agenda against Parish, there is no doubt his tenure at Palace has overseen the most successful period in our history, if he likes talking to the media, so what. Jordan is racked with envy at the way he lost the club and the success it has achieved, after the mess he made of it, he only has himself to blame.

If you want to talk about this period of history, go start a thread on it, this is about this current transfer window, I dont need to have an agenda against Parish, has it been a good window ? No, who is that down to ? Parish

Stoke gambled with how they wanted to play and failed
They didn’t fail with it to begin with. We’ve made the same transition, and it’s not a mistake but you have to put maintenance into it.

If the parallel is with Stoke, we are currently at the high point of the Mark Hughes reign, around the end of the 15-16 season.

Except we’ve just let Xherdan Shaqiri out the door without a replacement, and Wollscheid is being lined up out the door to the league champions also with no replacement or even cover in the squad for him.

In the same stage, they were holding on to those players and adding the likes of Joe Allen, Wilfried Bony, and Bruno Martins-Indi to their ranks to supplant them. They still dropped off a level that season even with those additions. If they’d gutted their squad at that point, they’d’ve only gone down two seasons earlier than they ended up doing.
