Time to start doing Business Steve..!!

This is shameful. Steve Parish is our greatest chairman but it’s time he accepts his and / or the boards mistakes this summer and put it right or find another solution.
We fans and Glasner have not asked for much. The first two signings I am happy with. But then where are the key signings to keep momentum or take us forward, all that feel good factor has gone and now it is borderline crisis. Again we get a disrupted start to the season, Inside and increasingly outside Glasner will be furious and rightly so. I’ve only seen a manager interview like this when leaving, Conte and Mourinho come to mind

Wow. Just watched this and never heard a Palace manager like this.

You get a diamond like Glasner, he IS the most important person at the club.

I don't understand the difference in PSR rules within Europe. Other clubs have spent, we surely can't be beyond the limits - he won the Europa league with Frankfurt, they can't have had a massive budget.

As of August 21, 2025, Premier League clubs have spent approximately £2.26 billion in the summer transfer window

So at least we still account for just over 0.1% of spending

What do you think the money men Harris, Blitzer and Johnson think of the farcical goings on at the Palace, Parish is answerable to them, i cant believe they are jumping up and down with joy, i have liked Parish in the past, and he will always be a part of our history, but i think he may be past his sell by date, what about Forest who by all accounts chairman and manager not seeing eye to eye, and Macarana gets Glasner!!!
Transfers aren't done without Blitzer and Harris I assume Woody as well now giving the ok, its not Parish holding back. Parish unbelievably gets a lot of stick on here after leading us away from extinction to FA Cup winners and Europe.
Fans never seem to be in touch with reality where football is concerned.

They more than likely are tho, they're just owners, Parish is the chairman, I doubt very much they have anything to do with the day to day running of the club, why would they, Parish has done a good job, their investment is safe, there's absolutely no need to get involved, they would just be giving themselves unnecessary work.

What on his own, FFS

Their investment is safe whilst we are in the Premier League. If, come January, we are in relegation trouble, and/or Glasner has left, then they could take action - which might have implications for Parish

That's absolute cobblers.....

Parish is the chairman and he holds the purse strings.

He is either missing Dougie and has no idea what he is doing or we actually have no money.

We are selling two of our crown jewels and right now we seem to be nowhere near replacing eother. The season has started as has our European campaign.

We are coming off of what has the be the best season in the clubs history but Parish is in danger of undoing so much good work.

I see he was on TV last night after the match. He should be in the boardroom sorting out transfers how many other chairmen are on the pitch being interviewed after every game?

Because it’s all about parish he’s egotistical he isn’t fit to be chairman anymore

Of course they could but they're three successful American businessman, they all own sports clubs in the US, they're obviously not stupid and aware they know far less about football and the running of a football club than Parish. They would have to be crazy to replace him as chairman, its just not going to happen.

Think we are the ones in touch with reality Mate - it’s Parish that ain’t..!!

Mate I can’t believe you defending parish he’s messed up big time and he brought us 15 years ago get over it, glanser got us the fa cup and Europe not parish. He’s got to go

I think Parish has earned the right to decide when he hands over the reigns.

Personally, I'd want to keep him running the club day to day even if he no longer has overall control.
What is missing at the club is money. Parish has proved himself to be 100% Palace. He needs financial support.

If big investment in the stadium requires him to step aside, then so be it, but despite his mistakes, he isn't the problem. He has taken us to a level that we have rarely glimpsed.

Winning two trophies has given fans the hope, the expectation for more, accepting the slow but steady progress made since 2010 has made it possible at this stage to push on another rung up the ladder.
The reality: business as usual. Steady as she goes! With Captain Parish at the helm and his able sidekick the Dougster now departed, don't expect any major surprises!

I called this scenario what 6 weeks ago - because I knew from Parish’s track record of procrastination and it was likely to happen again..!!

This is worse than even I imagined at that time - it’s an absolute abomination of a transfer window..!!

OG is fuming and I don’t blame him..!!

When I started this thread off some were giving me pelters - saying Parish had a plan, nowhere near end of the window, best Chairman ever da de da..!!

Now look at the mess we are in - reduced to having 2 keepers on the bench last night - when I’ve been saying for weeks we need to get our business done early and need depth in the squad...!!

You even had Parish saying last night - he knows we’re light on numbers - all very well admitting it Steve but that’s a situation you and you alone have created and only you can correct it..!!

Now every other team knows we’re desperate - any signings we try to make we’re going to pay a premium for - absolute joke..!!

Parish has destroyed all the momentum and feel good factor created by last season through total inept and clueless strategy..!! So now we have really gone backwards..!!

We’ve got Forest on Sunday who have done the opposite and strengthened significantly..

So the team that stole our rightful place in Europa meaning that this game should be such a grudge match and our chance to put the record straight and we’ve got a threadbare squad..!!

See the only signing we made today was Hermoine Granger for the ladies team - even that was a loan - maybe she can Hex Forest..!!
