We need a ferocious tackler in our midfield. Interesting that he had no sendings off, I would take 7 yellows per season for him. Anyone know how many cards he has so far for us if any?

He has only received 1 Red in his career, season 2019-20.

Personally, I think he is exactly what we needed. He does not let opponents have any thinking time on the ball - and is a real box to box player. An upgrade on Hughes.

Totally, in the mould of ferocious tacklers like Keane, Nicholas and Souness, always just a bit dirty. We need someone like this to frighten the opposition. Having Peter Nicholas in the side allowed Jerry Murphy to pull the strings. Hopefully, the same with Wharton.
