Ticketing Circus

Letting Ticketmaster handle sale of tickets is like letting Mr Fox take charge of the Hen House.

Would be a great idea! I'm having the same issue as everyone here - bought a gold membership to get tickets, as soon as tickets go on sale I'm online, one minute later they're gone. Only chance I've had of getting tickets this season and last is through the good people on this site

Here's the link for anybody who'd like to join it.

* Face-value tickets only.
* Members must have CPFC reference numbers.

Feel free to invite people in with the link above.

CPISA suspect that there are now many more Gold and season Ticket Plus memberships sold by CPFC for this season.
If you also take into account the 17,250 season ticket holders, players, management and staff allocations. Then start selling whats left to International, Gold members and Season Ticket Plus it's no wonder they are sold out very quickly for Category A matches.
You also have to contemplate whether black market syndicates using bots are prevented from operaterating in this arena by Ticketmasters sophisticated security or not!
It is something we intend to investigate into further by asking the club to give us some information from Ticketmaster.

So with some basic ( back of a fag packet) calculations -
The ground holds capacity 25,400 ( + some stragglers)
Recognised season ticket holders 17,250
Away allocation: maybe 2,500
Less the clubs allocation to managers / players / employees + less the away teams allocation (if any) for Managers / players / staff = Say 250 tickets -

Balance shared between Gold, International & Season, Ticket plus = 5,400
I have no idea what %ages of applicants want 1 or 2 tickets but if you say an average of 1.5 tickets per applicant that only gives you 3,600 applicants (included within gold international + season ticket +) total to exhaust whatever was available

Maybe others with more knowledge of how things work can fine tune those numbers but it dosent sound so promising if your hoping to be in the queue for extra tickets for a tier 1 game -

Given the fact that I could purchase 4 Liverpool seats together on a resale site for £800, an hour after they were released to Season Ticket + members I don't think the Ticketmaster 'Bot stopper' is particularly effective. Alternatively, perhaps the club is selling these tickets to them directly?
Whatever, my +membership is proving a complete waste of money.

That might have absolutely nothing to do with Ticketmaster. It might be that the season tickets are held by 'organisations' that are prepared to sell them if bought as either single tickets, pairs or 4 together.
If you own a season ticket at Palace and it can be sold for catagory A matches at £150-200 per match then there is a profit to be made.
We are very keen to get these investigated and if any can be returned and sold to genuine club supporters then it will be mission accomplished as fas as CPISA are concerned.
However getting the club more concentrated in this area when they receive the money whatever happens is a little more difficult as you can imagine!

Saturday v Manchester United was interesting. I sit in Holmesdale Upper and met a couple of French blokes who were wearing retro shirts they had bought in the last hour when that asked where entrance 14 was. Also saw another couple. Be interesting to know a little more about ticketing processes, as it seems that two together is easy for people with no physical supporter record.

I know that 400 are kept for international members who reserve one match a season. If that helps.
