The Spurs Meltdown

The second goal especially was abysmal defending, they were a complete mess when there was no real danger. New manager in to fix it? Not convinced they are even good enough for that.

Imagine getting relegated down to the second tier of English football. All the while having one of the best Football Stadia in the World.

Imagine winning the FA Cup. And also simultaneously having one of the worst Stadia.

If romero played for palace i wouldn't want him anywhere near our club if we conceded that 2nd goal. He goes walkabouts, doesn't make any effort to get back and then blames everyone else but himself!!

He is a disgraceful captain!!

I genuinely felt for the lad. Reminded me of a certain Mr. Suckling after the Liverpool game. I was there and it wasn't his fault. I think they scored five at my end, I was right behind the goal.
Yes I was there as well, he could’ve done better with a couple of the goals, but none were crass errors by him, he didn’t stand a chance that night. But sadly you could see the effect it had on him after that. But at least it lead to us signing super Nige 😎

They think they're too good to go down. That's basically the problem. They need something drastic. Maybe ban their hairdressers from the changing rooms?
Looking at comments on BBC after the game,it seems that many of their fans are already resigned to playing in the Championship next season!!

The fans can see it - even though they're not exactly the brightest. It's the players, I'm talking about. They have a sense of entitlement well above the entitlement their ability gives them. As they are currently - they are the worst team in the division.

I think spurs have come unstuck this season in the sense that two of the promoted teams have put up a fight this time, well Sunderland have more than put up a fight, and they’re not going to get away with coasting through the season again when 26 points would’ve kept you up last season.

I remember reading how a strong part of our recruitment was making sure the personality of the player was a fit for the club.
Then look at Spurs.

Maddison, Son, Richarlison. And these are just the players that wear their arrogance on their sleeve. I dread to think how many other troublesome characters there are in the dressing room when you consider somebody willingly signed those three. Absolute suicide.

Not Son he's gone.

Son did fine didn't he? Until he lost a bit of pace, then he was gone. Maddison injured usually so perhaps a f*** up but he's a decent player. If he wasn't injured, I'm pretty sure they'd be doing better. Richarlison has never quite lived up to the hype has he? But I'd presume he likely has better stats than most of our players. Hilariously enough.
I expect they were/are all well overpaid for sure. But that is so many footballers these days.

I would take Richarlson just for him and hughes in the same team 🫣

I know what you mean - decent entertainment value, if little else. Kind of sums up watching Spurs. I'm really finding it very entertaining. It's giving me back some of my love for football.
That and that West Ham podcast. Even when we're s*** (a lot of the time) a quick look at them cheers my right up again. They're both a f***ing joke to be honest. They are both crazily poorly run. They make our ownership look like saints and scholars.

It's hugely entertaining to see their fans' expressions during matches looking as though they're watching the Hindenburg disaster. They're at a football match not coming out of a battle in Vietnam.
