The Spurs Meltdown

I am not 'Au Fait' with the rationale behind Tottenham's decision to appoint Tudor, however it is feasible that they viewed him as an experienced manager having been at the helm at clubs including Galatasaray, Udinese, Marselle, Lazio, Juventus and his win percentage at some of his clubs is admirable.

Results have been disappointing under Tudor, however he did take up the 'reins' at a club 16th in the table who had only won 1 of their previous 10 PL games.
They've been dire for 2 seasons now. I would actually argue maybe 2 and 2 thirds as after the 10 game purple patch under Fat Ange they were crap. They've assembled a squad that's the softest you'll ever see and can't take a hint of stick before they have a big cry. All their supposed good players are actually pony as well

It's compulsive matchday viewing. The half-full sections of the ground before kick-off. The empty sections at half time. The dejected Manager, the players devoid of morale and just waiting for the next coq-up on the pitch. It's especially traumatic for them, because being relegated is by no means a mathematical certainty. The Spuds players will have to keep pushing to knock Forest and Spam out of the way to the trap door.

Agreed. Football history shows us that teams that circle the drain rarely compete at the top end the following season. Spurs fans and the board should have been more realistic and given Frank time.

As soon as Levvy packed his bags, anyone would have thought 'something' bad was about to happen at Spuds.
Levvy saying he built the club. He built a house of cards, that is falling down as Levvy slams the door on his way out.
Changing managers now is going to make diddly squat difference.
I was wondering who I would prefer to see falling out of the Prem. Wet Spam, Notts Forest or Spuds. I actually dislike all of them (or their owners and fans) , so whoever goes down , it's a win/win/win for me 😀 😀
Levy was a clever businessman during his tenure at Spurs. Whilst the new ground was being built, rather than hire in the cranes etc. I was told that he bought the equipment, used it, then sold it on at the end, thereby costing net less than the 'normal' build process. Also, the dressing rooms were considerably larger than required so that Spurs could host American Football games (the squad size is considerably bigger than for Premiership matches). He probably felt that he had reached his peak at Spurs and got out whilst the going was relatively good.

He was a divisive figure among the Spurs support. And I think the new ownership structure saw ousting him as a way to play to the gallery. He didn't jump, he was pushed.

I'm sure he's looking on with a mixture of relief that he's not carrying the can for the current shitshow and regret that he's not in a position to do anything about it.

"Disappointing". That's putting it mildly. He's 0-4 with a -10 goal difference. 😂

I genuinely felt for the lad. Reminded me of a certain Mr. Suckling after the Liverpool game. I was there and it wasn't his fault. I think they scored five at my end, I was right behind the goal.
Me too. I was laughing until Tudor subbed him and then blanked him as he walked past. If the intention was to humiliate the player that really was putting a hat on a hat.
