It would be most interesting to learn what was said between them, because something very obviously doesn't add up.I don't get Brennan Johnson
"I wasn't sure but spoke to the manager" etc
Glasner must've lied.

If I had to put money on Champions League - or relegation - in the next few seasons I know where it would go !What Glasner achieved with us by winning the FA Cup and some of the football he delivered, was nothing short of remarkable.
Marc Guehi has been part of that, a superb player for us, and nothing short of an amazing personality, player and captain.
Things have gone beyond stale so far this season however.
I therefore do consider the last couple of years to be somehwta of a flash in the pan but you never know what awaits. Could be better with some investment and a new stadium, could be relegation.
Always fun at the Palace!!

Pretty hard to process this (its not even ended).
Hard to imagine much else apart from a slow end to the season and a major rebuild in the summer

Glasner hasn't quit mid season so that's a positive. How the team respond to this news? That could be a problem.Am I missing something here? Which part of what Glasner said was unexpected?
The only pleasant slight surprise was that we seem to be getting a good fee for Guehi rather than losing him for nothing.

Just watched the F A Cup final again!
I know - I’m a bit of a sad person, but
I just needed a bit of a lift after what has been a dramatic week.
Last May was an incredible experience - for that, I truly thank OG

I have been banging this drum for a long time, but for me we need significant investment to maintain PL status in the next few yearsGlasner hasn't quit mid season so that's a positive. How the team respond to this news? That could be a problem.
We are getting money for Guehi. It won't make up for losing him but it is a no win situation. It will help pay for a stronger bench.
We have had a bleak week and things might not improve this month, but better times are ahead I'm sure.
Some good signings now and in the Summer are crucial to our progress. I think that Parish must find investors willing to pump more money into the club if we want to compete with the big boys. Ultimately this might mean stepping down as chairman. I can't see that happening until the new stand is complete at the earliest.
He has been great for this club and I'm sure he will know that the next level requires the kind of investment that gets the Selhurst Park footprint extended and the capacity up to 50K. Palace has to be a club that kids dream of playing for and top players are reluctant to leave.
Easy right?
