I have scratched every hair on my entirely bald head ever since watching the most infamous CPFC press conference in recent history earlier, that is how confused I am.
Why this information has not been retained in house is absolutely beyond unforgivable from a fans point of view, and for once I agree with the ex-pro's on Talksport alluding towards one thing, and one thing only....the relationship between Parish & Glasner has completely broken down and become untenable to the point of no return.
I just cannot see how making this public bears even 1% of positiveness towards our great club, especially during the most successful period in our history. Therefore Glasner, who now seems to be on a one man crusade against the club and its fans, has in all likelihood used the press conference as a cheap and rather immature dig at Parish via the media. And we can all stop dreaming of any marquee signings during this window as no one with any pedigree or even potential pedigree would want to join a sinking ship.
With our captain and talisman having played his last game for us, JP looking more likely by the hour to follow him, Munoz's agent indirectly putting his client in the shop window on Monday, Sarr not expected to be seen in a Palace shirt until Feb due to his beloved Nations AFCON success & the Senegalese President closing the country down for 3-day party so the team can travel the country for every citizen to pay homage (all subject to them winning the thing on Sunday for only the second time in their history of course)....... I wouldn't be surprised if Glasner has rented a big yellow storage unit this week to start putting his belongings in whilst plotting an early exit.
As fans, I think we deserve much better than all this immature nonsense, especially with them all knowing we are still riding the crest of wave on the back of our first real successful period at the top level.
But I guess this is modern day football after all, and whilst it pains me to say it, there is no loyalty left in the modern game. It is each man for himself now when it comes to the owners and players, which of course started the day we lost the traditional four divisions and our engraved legendary Division One to the FA Carling Premiership.
Steve, Ollie, et-al.... keep it in your trousers eh chaps and try to remember the backbone of the club, who were actually here long before you guys arrived, and will be here long after you're gone.
I appreciate that is easier said than done however. And whilst Parish will always have an affiliation to Palace (one hopes) the moment OG leaves SE25, no doubt so will his memories and won't be in a rush to come back, however way he ends up departing.
Someone mentioned last month that they noticed his body language had changed at the ground almost to a disinterested demeanour, and if that is so then there is absolutely no point of him spending another hour as our manager and knowing we are safe from harm, we should use the rest of the season bedding in a new coach otherwise we run the risk of another FDB debacle next season.
Rant over
