Ha, funny.

Eventually planes will fly on a couple of Duracell batteries ( other brands available). So we are paying billions to be a World leader (🤣) in reaching net zero targets. Why then is Heathrow expanding? Today we have been told that, after years of legal challenges, Gatwick have been given permission to build a second runway. This will increase passenger numbers from 43 million to 70 million. How very net zero of us.
This will also involve the destruction of an ancient woodland and possibly a nearby village ( not confirmed).
? If this is aimed at me, I’m not sure I see your point. Do these expansions go against our net zero crusade or not? How do you know whether I have said anything about oil and gas tax?Tax money to oil and gas dwarfs renewables, always has, but we never hear a word from you on that.
If we became a world leader in renewables it would be amazing business for the UK, but we missed the boat on it decades ago (fwiw I was calling for us to do just that 25 years ago)

Maybe because they employ a whole lot more who pay tax and spend money.Tax money to oil and gas dwarfs renewables, always has, but we never hear a word from you on that.

The world is heating up regardless of human pollution. We need to adapt to it, not have poverty forced upon us in a futile pursuit to make Britain a carbon free zone. It's a nonsense.
Cheaper air conditioning and compulsory fitting in new builds might help.

Yeah great isn’t it 👌👍The heat this week felt very different to previous "heat waves"

Yup can’t argue with that but it’s how it works. Why would they invest for little to no return in saving dolphins.Labour intensive subsidy. Sort of like benefit money for nothing then. Dreadfully inefficient.

I didn’t say cheapest !Sorry but it's not the cheapest by any means, nowhere near. And that's without adding in the increasing costs of bigger and greater natural disasters (no not earthquakes)
I have actually. It may be a minor issue to some but to many it is somewhat a bigger issueWell have you?
I dunno, but if you hadn't then maybe you should be more annoyed at that than the minor damage limitation that you are fighting against.
We are f***ed btw.
