What’s that supposed to mean! How can any government plan centuries ahead? Didn’t Hitler plan a 1,000 year Reich.

Whenever I travel anywhere in Europe these days I am inevitably struck by how much better off and contented the average person seems. If that’s the result of not thinking then perhaps we ought to reinstall some of those who have let us down in the past.

Good for them but being in the EU didn't help a lot in 70s & 80s when we had mass unemployment and galloping inflation.
