Maybe sacking the department involved might sate Trump's lust for blood

I’m not sure this will go Trumps way. If the US court supports the principle of suing in the US courts for programmes aired overseas then the whole US media will be at risk. They won’t like that. Plus has he really suffered ‘massive brand value loss’?Or the BBC could just close.
Thee BBC are on a bad footing with this.
Trump can call the shots as to how this will end. Maybe sacking the department involved might sate Trump's lust for blood

I suppose the counter argument is that whilst the show was not shown in full, clips were all over social media across the world.I’m not sure this will go Trumps way. I can’t wait for the trial and see him give evidence. Will be prime time.

Trump won’t be controlling this. The Court will and they could very easily throw it out as simply an opportunistic attempt at diverting attention away from his own behaviour. Most recently his outrageous comments on Rob Reiner.Or the BBC could just close.

I was listening to Times radio about this. Trump has said that AI may have been used. The hosts indicated that the BBC should counter on this front. They missed the point that if they didn’t use AI then an employee must have consciously altered the meaning. Checkmate.Or the BBC could just close.

I'd be surprised if it were thrown out. The bar is pretty high. I am not sure what the jurisprudence is in Florida, but over here he would only have to present an arguable case. Here, the merits are pretty weak; but they are still arguable.Trump won’t be controlling this. The Court will and they could very easily throw it out as simply an opportunistic attempt at diverting attention away from his own behaviour. Most recently his outrageous comments on Rob Reiner.
The BBC will probably not respond publicly but defer to their legal team who will deal with it appropriately. You don’t give any help to someone whose sole purpose is to gain attention and embarrass their critics.
I sincerely hope the BBC don’t try to settle, which would be less expensive than the legal fees, but take him on in Court if they do decide to hear it. The stupidity of the reasoning needs to be exposed.

The case is being held in Florida where a jury will decide. It is out of date to be held in the UK and would not be decided by a jury, so the process for settling this is different in both locations. He will win in the US but how any settlement is enforced I’m not sure. Probably the BBC will be banned from the US until payment is made, or until the political wind changes direction.Trump won’t be controlling this. The sooner the BBC come to a settlement the better.

This is about principles. The left should be able to broadcast whatever lies it wants, without being held to account. If other people are going to lose their jobs, surely it's a price worth them paying ? 😀The left and social liberals are a disaster for the country.
They literally push for a deteriorating relationship with the States because they don't like the current president.
They feck everything up.....all they care about are their egos.
A massive number of people are going to lose their jobs....good paying jobs over this.....if it's not resolved.
I'd find and sack every single politician, from whatever party who voted for the terrible laws we have on speech in this country......and it was introduced under the Tories.

If he’s presenting their case everyone will be fast asleep after 10 minutes. He won't because the BBC have called up hotshot lawyer Cornish Legal Experts LLP to represent them.
The trial will last years, it'll win by filibustering.
