The bbc, again.

So the same guy who has criticised the BBC on other issues is making a fuss about another one! That says more about him than ever it does about the BBC. We know there are people, almost exclusively on the political fringes, who believe the BBC are biased. That’s not true though of the majority.

What do you expect Ofcom to say? Just ignore the criticism and carry on?

Of course they want the BBC to consider it and respond. As they should and will.

This isn’t news! It’s the Mail doing what the Mail always does whether ever anything potentially negative about the BBC surfaces. They stir up the shite and wind up the prejudiced.

If I have a criticism of the BBC it is that they appear intimidated by the constant attacks by the right and are consequently favouring them to placate them. I would like them to be more robust in defence of their even handed approach.
Jeez some sort of frenzy going on!

I have become increasingly aware that it’s less him alone, dangerously disturbed though he is. It’s those behind him, manipulating and driving him. The people behind Project 2025 and Stephen Miller, who is as obsessed with anti immigration sentiment as anyone posting here, and Peter Theil, the tech multi billionaire who is against the whole principle of democracy.

They I have terrorised Congress, and threatened critics with huge defamation suits which their targets don’t have the resources to defend, and are am also seeking retribution on all who did their jobs in trying to resist me this.

Yet many here continue to be in denial of this and think
it’s just me. People need to wake up!

Just removed some of the waffle for you.

Nothing to worry about, just making it more reader-friendly for our audience.

If there was no Wisbech, then there wouldn't be a thread. Treasure him.
It's a personal choice to ignore or not, but I suppose Wisbech embodies everything we hate the most about the liberal left.

He reminds us why we have to stop his kind from making decisions on our behalf.
Just look at what has happened to this country under the control of liberals.

We must draw a line and say no further.

It's worth remembering that many on the real left also hate the BBC, often for similar reasons: their ingrained bias towards establishment power and vested interests, their old-boys network corruption, their patronising and elitist attitude, their false pretence of neutrality.

Personally I think the BBC embody the liberal centre-left establishment order. Readers of the Times, CoE people, Oxbridge educated do-gooders, Emma Thompson, Stephen Fry and residents of the white enclave hamlet of Plumpton le Mare in the County of Snobshire, but preach diversity. People who think of themselves as respectable and enlightened, but are massive hypocrites.

It's almost like our institutions are now being run by people who have self-interest in mind.
We always talk about stupid White people, but don't forget the impact of DEI on our institutions.

He thinks the very the same of us; hence why I have no wish to stop him.

He's not an elected member of any political movement as far as I know. So I don't think he's making any decisions for us. Even if he was then you'd hope democracy would solve any problems.

He's just using his free speech. I very much disagree with his turn of phrase; but welcome him on the site

I wonder if Guntri knows who the most 'ignored' poster is?
I really hope he does and then takes some time to reflect on why that might be and what the consequences are.

That the HoL is a bubble of right wing opinion is obvious and undeniable. Its main rival, the BBS, isn’t.

The HoL’s format is, in my opinion, and of others I have read, very much better. It’s why I use this site and not the BBS.

Why then does the BBS have, by everything I have read, a far bigger membership? Could it be that the reputation of those using the HoL puts people off? We know some members have been hounded out. Now we see right wingers ignoring posters whose views they disagree with, yet in the next breath will be chirping about free speech and cancel culture.

Doubtless the HoL is a commercial operation and having a larger membership would generate greater advertising revenue. Is it then wise to encourage a small group to dominate when you are marketing a superior product?

The BBC's worst culprits are mostly native born Honkys to be fair.
Worth remembering if we think remigration will solve everything. We'll still be left with Hugh Edwards and Gary Neville et al to deal with.

True, Lenny Henry and Naga whatsaface are irritating fools, but not even close to the Saville league.
And Floella Benjamin was good on Play School.
