But we are supposed to believe they are impartial. If they truly were then their mistakes would actually be more diverse.
Another 300,000 people have stopped paying their licence. The gravy train is slowly coming to a halt.

Why doesn't the BBC accuse them of racism and suggest that mixing with outsiders will culturally enrich them and improve everything?

Woke Coogan defames decent man all in the name of the sisterhood. The movie was made by his production company but funded by the BBC.

You can't defame someone and then claim it's fiction or art which is what Coogan has done. As for the BBC backers commonsense says if you are doing a movie based on real people you ate least run the script pass the lawyers and ask the obvious question, will any of these people sue?
The fact that Coogan's company made the movie does not let the BBC off the hook. A huge percentage of their programs are now made this way but the BBC holds the purse strings and must control the output.

Coogan gets to portray the irish as a bunch of Neanderthals on account of his own ancestry. Is he just another Gary Lineker ?
Graham Linehan did identify Graham Norton as having metaphorically crucified his career, in all but name. Its particularly galling as Linehan gave Norton the start to his TV career.

In the Coogan article the Professor who was defamed pointed out that Coogan has been playing the victim to the media.
One of the advantages of celebrity particularly if you are a favourite of the BBC and their friends is that you get lots of airtime.
The Professor on the other hand is just Joe Public and has to fight to get the public to hear his voice. It's odd that Coogan's movie is a David (or Davina) versus Goliath when it real life he is the Goliath and the poor Professor and his family the Davids.
Worldwide a celebrity is more newsworthy than Joe Bloggs,sorry Proffesor Joe Bloggs who no one not even his friends have heard of that is not just a BBC thing it is a law of the universe and not something exclusive to the BBC.
