And skill, passing ability and a football brain? I noticed last season the other players had so little confidence in him that they wouldn’t give him the ball. Hence he went AWOL every game. Sage is no fool and I’d be surprised if he plays this bloke. We should be looking to get rid asap.

At the moment he's like the dented tin at the shop - might be cheap but no one wants it. And he won't be cheap.

Agree, agree, agree, not so, building up fitness & hes bulked up, a lot, agree, no chance, fast, can tackle & sees a pass(not a crosser tho) absolutely agree, never, same as JRS tricks n flicks, totally agree.

Funny how we all see games differently 😉

The match report on the Swindon website continually refers to us as The Conference League Champions. Basically implying they did well to keep it to 5. Quite right too 🤣🤣

If you can find a club that will take him I’m sure Palace will pay a decent commission and you would also get the Paul Daniel’s award for being a magician.

I'll repost my overview of the game from the pre-season thread here as it seems this is where everyone is discussing it.

Both sides a bit rusty in the first half with a few mistakes in each, no huge surprise there in mid-July. The quality of Palace still showed across the whole game, Swindon struggled to deal with us.

Really impressed with França and Doucoure.

França played centre forward in a more traditional front three, and he was absolutely clinical and well deserved his hat-trick.

If Doucoure can stay fit and can reproduce it on the higher level, we may at last see his old self back.

Good day for Eddie too.

Ozoh made a bad pass across the Swindon defence that led to their only goal. Some dodgy passes. Had a few errors. I have seen good things from him in the past, he'll have better days.

Johnson unfortunately struggled to find team-mates with his crosses, and a couple of shots over the goal. Similar to what we've seen in the league last season.

Ozoh was decent for most of that first half with some neat through the lines passes. Yes, he made one bad pass that led to him trying to redeem himself but giving away a penalty and also an unwise one that left Adamarola in a difficult situation. He did far more positive stuff than Johnson who frankly was awful so I'm surprised you rated the latter more highly. I thought Johnson was more a 2/10 sadly.

Ultimately, it was the first runout of the season with players getting minutes in their legs with some of them showing signs of rustiness (Mitchell) or lack of confidence (Johnson).
 
If Sage said only, 5 or 6 of the selection yesterday, will be in the first team squad with the 11 on world cup duty, can we expect 3 or 4 more signings, more if we have departures?, otherwise we will be about 7 short for the 25 🤔 🤣

The implication being the other spots are players absent at this stage of pre-season. Mostly due to the World Cup.
