Sunderland vs. Crystal Palace match thread

What a shambles that game was. Firstly, I don't think that Glasner should have been allowed to publicly state that he's not renewing his contract. He's a club employee FFS and should have kept his mouth shout and worked on resolving the footballing issues until the end of the season. Coming after the Macclesfield debacle he should have been professional. He could learn a lot about professionialism from our former captain. I don't think he should be allowed to leave with a paid up contract. His intention may well be that of trying to engineer his dismissal so that he banks money. Put him on gardening leave and let him resign if he wants out. I'll forever be thankful to him for delivering the FA Cup but I wouldn't reward him for publicly disrespecting the club. Palace is after all much bigger than him and anyone in the boardroom for that matter.

There were plenty on here wanting Glasner to clarify his contract position, because it was unsettling.
Well, now it's all in the open. Glasner is in the unfortunate position of currently being the mouthpiece for the club, so everything he says will be scrutinised.

From the snippets I've seen and read after Sunderland, I think Glasner wants to stay to the end of the season, but now it's out of his hands. Personally, I'd be inclined to let him see out his contract. The board may have other ideas.

What Glasner has also unwittingly done, is expose CPFC's financial model. And there are several models that can be used in football. CPFC's is the low-risk model. The only way I can see the new stand being built before I die, is that it becomes an absolute necessity, because of Building Regulations.
