Hi!
Few details about the stadium and the city.

Meinau stadium has been under renovation for several years, with its capacity greatly reduced. However, it has recently reopened to almost full capacity, as the main works have now been completed.

Meinau stadium used to be known for having one of the best atmospheres in France. However, since the takeover by BlueCo, the atmosphere has changed — at times becoming quite tense. There is strong opposition between the ultras and the club management. Ultras groups stage a 15-minute protest at the beginning of each match by refusing to chant, in opposition to multi-club ownership.

Nevertheless, Meinau stadium has been sold out for years, even during the renovation period. Demand is extremely high, and season tickets are limited. Such enthusiasm is quite rare in France.

About the stadium:

West Stand: home to all the ultra groups.

East Stand: family stand.

South Stand: mostly VIP seating, though the upper part is available for general purchase.

North Stand: nothing special to note.

The away fans’ section is located in the north-east corner, where visibility is quite poor due to fencing.

For your supporters wishing to buy tickets outside the official away section, you can sit anywhere except in the West Stand.

The people of Strasbourg are welcoming — you’ll have no trouble coming with your child and chatting with the locals. Strasbourgers are very proud of their strong regional identity and their complex history, closely tied to their German past.
Access to the stadium is very easy. It’s located in the city, and you can get there — and explore the whole of Strasbourg — using the tram.
The city of Strasbourg is probably one of the most beautiful in France. It’s famous for its beauty, gastronomy, and especially for its world-renowned Christmas Market, which opens on November 26!
The must-sees include Strasbourg Cathedral, the Petite France district, and of course the local cuisine — beer and tarte flambée!

You’re going to love this trip!
See you soon at La Meinau!

Thanks a lot for all your info. I know a fair few Palace fans who have bought tickets in the home end but thankfully none in the West Stand. Looking forward to visiting your city very much myself.

Just be aware this is RC Strasbourg Alsace - Known as Strasbourg or Racing. It is situated in the East of France, next to the border with Germany.

***There is another Strasbourg in France just South of Bordeaux, close to the West Coast - Not to be confused***
Hello, I've no idea where you get that information but there is no other Strasbourg in France. There are many towns that end with "Bourg" and maybe you re confusing with one of those but "Strasbourg" is unique and located at the border with Germany

Great info - Please can you recommend a bar in the city to watch the game for those of us that do not have tickets.

Tight allocation from Strasbourg doesnt help. Their stadium holds £27k and their average attendance is less than 20K. C'mon Strasbourg give Palace a proper allocation.
This is completely wrong. Where do you get those numbers ? Internet is a crazy thing when you see how people can get wrong facts so easily 😆

In fact our stadium is full for every games (99% attendance rate.... 1 % for security) and it's very hard to get tickets in the stadium even for locals if you re not a season ticket holder which has been capped at 22000 to keep some free tickets.
It's true that we had some renovations those last years but we re always at full capacity because there is a lot of passion about our team here and our stadium is too small for our people.

When there was 20K in the stadium was because it was capped at 20000 for renovation.
Now we re near full capacity at 31000 but it's not all finished. And i can tell you that the stadium will still be full for every games at 32000

You guys are welcome, Strasbourg is a lovely city and as said already, you should go for
- Cathedrale
- Petite France quarter
- Christmas market
- Have a beers and tartes Flambées !

If you need any help or info do not hesitate to ask.

I looked at the attendance figures from the Starsbourg website and they seemed to be around 20k. I didnt not know there were any renovations going on. Palace should be given around 3,000 tickets at least for this game. And instead our fans are having to pay over the odds to get seats in the home end.

The beers and tarts (sorry I mean tartes) will be the most popular items when Palace come to town.

Your stadium looks quite good. Any chance Starbourg could appoint you as the Project Manager to dismantle your main stand, ship it to South London and swap it for our cow shed?

Any chance you could help with couple of tickets? 😀

Many people heading over without a ticket?
I’ve got plane / train / hotel but missing the golden ticket
Yes I believe there are and can understand why. But for me no ticket not going. Save the pennies for when we get to the knockout stages and hopefully a bigger allocation. Its a shame that only a small number of fans will get to see Palace at the away Conf games atm. Sherbourne will be just as bad as their stadium holds less than 10k I believe.

3000 would be 10% of the stadium. The uefa rule is 5% for visitors and that s actually what you get. In fact some home season ticket holders are being moved so that you can get this 5% numbers. Usually the visitor sector is physically delimited in the H quarter but for this game you ll get some spots in the 112 sector. Our ultras are on the other side in the Tribune OuestCapture d’écran 2025-11-12 à 20.48.16.webp

He probably has a whole hatful thats the real reason why he's here. Tickets for the cathedral are easy to find.
Even though i don't live in Strasbourg anymore I still keep my multiple home season ticket holder accounts with my brother since many years because if we lose to renew them it's so hard to get 1 ^^

But you have also a resale official platform where maybe you can snipe some tickets on the rcstrasbourg website

Thanks for the info. I'm looking forward to the trip! As we had to buy the euro package ticket for the game my plan is to chat to those around me and give away my ticket for the next European game. Hopefully that'll soften the blow of having a couple of strange English blokes sat with them for the 90 mins.

"Multiple" so how many tickets at face value have you got available? We prefer face value prices on this forum.

As a matter of interest, what are the fans view of BlueCo? It must be annoying being used as a feeder club for Chelsea. Personally I hate Chelsea and imo Boehly is very bad news for the future of football

We want the whole ground though.

That's the big question right now... The history is a bit complex, but a few years ago we went bankrupt and had to start from scratch, from the very bottom divisions.

We then climbed back up through all the divisions with a spirit of total unity between management and fans. The atmosphere was quite unique in France for several years, with a total connection between management, fans, and our ultra groups (UB90 is the main group) who sing throughout the entire match, win or lose. The Meinau is considered one of the best atmospheres in France, and we have a passionate fanbase. Now, with the Blueco takeover and the multi-ownership arrangement, things have changed a lot. On the one hand, we've never had so many financial resources compared to French clubs, which have many budget problems, but on the other hand, we're losing some of our independence and are largely controlled by decisions from London. This has created divisions among the fans between the "Anti" Blueco and the "Pro" Blueco. The ultras are overwhelmingly opposed to Blueco, while the general public appreciates the team's more competitive level... this has created many divisions we didn't have before and endless debates in our forums...
