Southampton predictions.

This game will be how well we play on the front foot. I am happy we have Munoz Mateta and Eze. Sarr has improved but i doubt there will be space to run in behind. It actually might be a good game to play Nketiah as his strength is in and around the box and see us having a lot of ball in this area. The rest of our team don't really offer much of a goal threat apart from set pieces. I still think we should find a way of winning.
Nketiah is out injured according to Glasner apparently.

We are expected to emerge victorious against a team stranded at the bottom of the table, but such expectation brings with it added pressure.
No prizes for guessing the topic of conversation on HOL should we succumb to an ignominious defeat.

Looks like you’ve already started it. 2-1 to us with a 94th minute winner

It is a must win game, i dont think Guehi not playing makes any difference, its the other end of the pitch that matters, i would like a small change of 1-2 instead of 2-1 up front, Sarr and Mateta as a pair and Eze No 10, behind, Glasner has used this at his former clubs, Massive game for all, especially Parish.

A dull scrappy 1-0 to Palace, easing our position temporarily, but doing nothing to answer bigger questions.
Chris Richard’s at close range on 67 mins or maybe a penalty around the same time.

If palace play to their best we will batter them. If they fluke the first goal it will be a long afternoon. Time for mateta Saar Eze and doucoure to shine. Season prospects looking up if we win by any score. Staring towards abyss if we lose. Please no draw. No easy games in premier league.

Southampton have changed their style of play so instead of playing out from the back they are using the long ball. They have a player up front who they bang it up to, keep it tight at the back and we should squeeze out a 2-0 2-1 win!

It has banana skin written all over it. Their new manager will be beginning to imprint his ideas and they are slowly improving.

Hope we batter them but fear an upset.
I’ve watched Southampton a lot this season due to my son in law supporting them. I’m thinking the same as you, it does have banana skin written all over it for us. Before the new manager it was an easy win for us but now they look much more compact at the back plus their keeper is back from injury. Even with our point at Bournemouth we didn’t look that great. I’m a concerned palace fan for this match today :-(

Southampton have 6 points from 18 games, they have lost 14 and won only 1. Talk of a Palace home defeat is ultra negative, whatever problems we might have. Home win.

History doesn’t lie, the team that is bottom in January goes down 99 times out of 100. It’s high time we got another home win to mirror our good away form….

Glad somebody has put into words the itch I havnt been able to scratch.
I'd really love (and we really need) a 3-0 thumping masterclass but the above sounds far more likely.
That or another bloody draw.

They have no doubt improved a lot under their new manager. Play with confidence and have Ramsdale (world class on his day) between the sticks. Add to that a few tricky players. If we think this will be a walk in the park, we are in for a surprise. One point would actually be all right. Don't know how many times we have started as clear favoritesand ended up losing the game.

when we beat these feckers, we will confirm that they can never catch us in the Prem-Table.

and so thereafter, we will only need to worry about two other teams not catching us. Even a Draw today would be a disaster. Cos Southampton are giving free points to everybody around us.

i predict a boring edgy game. 1-0 palace. Mateta 73 minutes.
