As others have already said, a potential banana skin. I'm assuming OG will erase any feelings of complacency. Having said that, I and the form book fully expect a Palace win.
I concur with these sentiments.I think the training regime at the club makes players very at ease with their role, so I'd see a square peg in a square hole solution for Richards' absence. Clyne, Lerma or Ward.
If we are that threadbare in midfield minus Lerma then Eze could drop in with Kamada/Franca/Nketiah/Esse starting.
So I think we'll be good selection wise but I fear it might be a tight game.
Franca has been preferred to Esse off the bench, albeit in limited time. I'd like to see him given 20+ minutes if we are comfortably ahead or chasing a goalWe did have a three week break b4 Fulham but spent a lot of energy in the game so I can't see us come flying out the traps in the opening stages. Clyne replacing Richards would be the least disruptive change, but I sense a need to freshen thing up a bit. I'd like to Chilwell get 30 min and maybe Esse and Devenny too. Can see 0-0 at half time with us stepping it up for a 1-0 or 2-0 late on. Kamada will replace either Lerma or Wharton at some point, but if we do struggle to open them up I'd like to see Esse given a chance, from the little I've seen he seems to have enough vision and flair to unlock defences.
Spot on. We should have known. 🤨I'm trusting the manager to ensure that the players are focussed and not looking at this game as a given three points.
With the away run that Palace are on, combined with Southamptons appalling form,it should be another three points. But I've supported this club long enough to know that with Palace it just doesn't work like that !
1-1
He got that goal 😀Franca has been preferred to Esse off the bench, albeit in limited time. I'd like to see him given 20+ minutes if we are comfortably ahead or chasing a goal
