Sentences too harsh!

I know plenty of single British born men who can't even get on the council housing list let alone be offered a place. Then there are the homeless servicemen, shabbily treated by our governments.

This lady came to the UK to escape persecution not pick out a nice 4 bed semi detached.
Families are always given priority, for fairly obvious reasons. Single men, with a job, can usually afford to pay rent and find something. Even in a HMO. My flats, handled by the council, are rented to a single guy, ex prisoner, a retired Polish couple brought here by their builder son prior to Brexit and a single retired lady who lost her home when her family tricked her into giving to them and then kicked her out.

Close the country down for months on end and it's likely to create a backlog.
We didn’t close the country down!

We protected it from the worst effects of a new disease which was spreading quickly and for which there was no known cure.

That in doing so there were undesirable consequences was inevitable. When you have to decide between options which are all bad, taking the least worse is the best choice.

That this impacted the NHS is obvious but that was still better than risk it’s total collapse, which was seriously thought possible.

We didn't close the country down? OK.

It adds up perfectly. She has no financial need to work but chooses to because her skills are needed.

Some people are motivated by the desire to serve.

She would prefer not to do so many hours but should she not people would have to wait even longer than they already do. Even now she and her colleagues suffer abuse from some who cannot understand why they must wait. When every clinic is booked solid for a week in advance and all the emergency slots are taken there’s nothing that can be done. If anyone goes sick clinics must be cancelled.
I’ll repeat it for you. So you are 80 and your mrs is still working 60 hour weeks. Something not adding up !

There are rules about it, so far as I am aware. Refuse suitable accommodation and you risk being removed from the list. Those 9 homes won’t stand empty for long though, so it’s not a big deal.
Nothing is a big deal to you and your lot, is it? First of all it isn’t happening. Then when you and your lot find that it is, it isn’t a big deal anyway. Out of sight, out of mind, so I’m not surprised. Everyone else’s problem.

She needs to be taken aside by her community leaders and taught lessons in diplomacy and tact. It just proves that a sense of entitlement exists everywhere.

You have to wonder what fairy stories of streets of gold were told to her when she agreed to pay the gang who brought her.
That first bit is a laughable pipe dream. ‘She needs to be taken aside by her community leaders and taught lessons in diplomacy and tact.’ Are you for real?

The word is out that we are an easy ride and a soft touch. A bit of a joke really. How do you think people can go to pray 5-6 times a day? That reputation needs changing by our policies. Take away the demand for boat gangs by changing our soft touch reputation. Australia did. Taking away the supply of gangs won’t work because new gangs will emerge. But you’ll block that so we’ll just continue as we are, as per usual.

You’re excelling yourself with stupidity this weekend. Closing the country down is exactly what we did and your usual word salad could never disguise that fact. Doctors closed, hospitals closed, high streets closed, restaurants closed, pubs closed, offices closed, building sites building houses in need and offices falling in demand, closed. Offices closed. Borders closed. Airports closed, airline employees laid off. Even parks and beaches were closed lol. Oh no, the country wasn’t closed, no. Maybe it was just your eyes and brain that were closed.

This is the reality of our immigration and housing problems, not what some globalist thinks 250 miles away in rural England.

I suspected there was more to this story than is presented in the video. It didn’t seem possible that anyone could be so ungrateful that I wondered if it was faked and new words imposed, but that doesn’t appear to be the case.

What is though is that this lady has been in the UK for 20 years, has worked for the Council and has 4 children living in a tiny space. One has special needs that requires, for safety, the windows and doors, to be kept locked. That context has all been edited out. It does though begin to explain why living in a stacked container home might prove pretty uncomfortable on a very hot day and produce a rant when interviewed.

So basically she has joined the queue like everyone else because new immigrants are possibly being housed in front of her. Best she protests and gets labelled far right like everyone else !

No we didn’t close!

We introduced restrictions, often quite severe restrictions, but we didn’t close. The hospitals still functioned. You could consult your doctor, often initially by phone or video link. Many people continued to work, often from home. Meetings still took place, but via Zoom rather than face to face. Food supplies continued, often via home delivery or click and collect.

We found new ways of doing things, and some non essential things stopped, but we didn’t close. We kept social distance from others, wore masks, washed our hands, didn’t mix or travel far. We did exercise and stay in contact.

Being “closed” is just how though those opposed to the strategy of caution, safety first and consequential restriction want to present it.

It is a lie.

What an ungrateful so & so. Typical of the selfish self entitlement these people feel and display. Provided with housing, welfare, free education and a health service. I wonder what I’d be given if I took my family to her country of origin?!

As I expected. Someone else’s problem. Out of sight, out of mind. Yet you’re perfectly okay for the pull factor for this to exist. As we are then.
If you own property personally then you aren’t responsible for that which is a collective responsibility.

So yes it’s somebody else’s problem. It’s our problem, not mine.

If the council place an unvetted tenant into one of my flats then they take the responsibility for unpaid rent or damage. If I do it myself then they must be vetted because the risks then remain with me.

You also have to question the wisdom of having 4 children when you can’t afford to house them and look after them yourself and are not living in adequate accommodation at the time. Loads of people wouldn’t do that. Not that I think it is right she is where she is, but it’s another case of doing what you want while expecting the taxpayer to pay for you.

I wouldn’t accept unvetted anyone in my flats, let alone my own home, so this is a ridiculous stunt.
No it isn’t! It is actually the perfect way of demonstrating what hypocrites there are attending these marches and who are advocating that refugees and immigrants are welcome. To then say, “Oh no but I wouldn’t” is just typical of these pathetic tosspots.

She is one of the many struggling with finding suitable housing. What her background is and how she got into this situation isn’t known.

That the need to accommodate those arriving here illegally produces problems isn’t news.

Everyone accepts it’s a major problem without easy solutions. Protesting about it seems a complete waste of time and energy which helps no one and diverts resources. Especially when protests turn violent.

Maybe those with the time and energy to spare to protest could organise themselves into voluntary groups and offer their labour to charities devoted to helping the homeless?

She has lived here for 20 years. She is probably now a British citizen. Her children are!
