Selling our best

Which, I suspect, lies at the heart of our business model.

Finish top of the "also rans" (Fulham, Brentford etc.) in 8th/9th + good cup run = good season.

The fans kept happy; and the bank even happier.

If we can progress higher we do it at glacial speed. Under the radar. Leicester's problem was they did it too much, too quick; and they were then asset stripped by the rich 6 who were not going to allow an interloper to break their hegemony.

Yep, spot on (for me anyway)!

Unlike the BBC I haven’t spliced together material to give a particular impression.
I don’t have an agenda.

Parish is on record as saying that Palace are not ‘a destination club’ but instead one that can form part of a player’s journey to getting to such a club.
There’s nothing wrong with this, he’s being realistic.
Take a chill pill.
When has he touted Eze and Guehi for sale in the media?

We’re not a destination club for the top players, but maybe we are for the likes of Hughes, Mitchell, Richards, Lacroix, Sarr, Henderson. Enough talent for a nice life for us in the PL.
Spot on - three established internationals, two more that have a great claim to become so and one highly established and experienced PL player.

This is testament to the progress made over a decade in the PL. like Joe Ward said after the Cup Final, our past players got us to their ceiling, which then becomes the floor for the next generation. It doesn’t happen overnight but there is clearly a continued upward trend in quality.
