Real consistency comes when all of your main 20 man squad can slot in seamlessly and do their job. The members of today's back 3 (all 4 of them with the HT substitution) played well in a less aggressive set-up than in previous league games. I expect Sage will continue this not quite so adventurous approach until everyone's bought into, and are up to speed with, what he's trying to do.
 
I assumed this thread was about our new manager, Pierre, not the wretched VAR although I admit to being a hater (of VAR not Pierre).
According to his post match comments, Pierre looks at social media so he's probably reading what we all write about him on here. Personally, I hope he starts to read more glowing comments as the season progresses. For sure, it's too soon to think about swapping him for another coach to cause the team more confusion with different tactics. It's disruption we don't need.
Just keep believing lads.

We attain a creditable and totally unexpected result at Leeds and the narrative apropos the future of Pierre Sage has faded into the distance.
Defeats to Nottm Forest and Leeds will I suspect trigger conversations to that effect.

That's modern football. Martin O'Neill won the double last season and is top of the league having won 6 of 7 games but is under pressure from some quarters.
 
It’s been a difficult start for Sage, not much of which was really down to him.
Bit by bit it’s coming together for him and what we see now contains lots of promise for an entertaining attacking team going forward. We are still going to have setbacks, and probably will not take the football world by storm. But Parish should bare with him because already the signs are there for good times ahead.
