Thank you Doombear for reiterating what all the rest of us already know. The guy is often funny (unintentionally), seldom right and seems to want a reaction when he throws a little 'Parish out' strop.

Using Olise to make a point was laughable. He is a generational talent that will win the Balon d'or very soon. Not only would it be financially, morally and stupidly wrong to try and keep him at Palace those of us with a brain would realise he is irreplaceable so whining about selling him is ridiculous
We can do nothing when they have a release clause. Or if they throw a strop or go on strike, by the looks of things. I've heard several times now that Olise, Eze, Guehi and Lacroix wanted their moves. We saw it ourselves with Eze talking about it. And Guehi made it clear he wasn't renewing for a long time.

I was told twice that the minute Max heard Chelsea were interested (he was apparently in the French camp during the World Cup in the USA) he told his agent he no longer wanted to play for Palace. This was made very clear. Then when no one except Chelsea show an interest Parish cant even drive the price up hence the low offer that Parish has been criticized for.
He squeezed what he could out of Chelsea. Thats the bottom line

The table does not lie.
Seven points out of a potential 27,says it all.
Extenuating circumstances and who is to blame for our dire position and failure.Parish and the Board for selling off our crown jewels without adequate replacements or a failing, inadequate Manager??

Indeed, and we should have just taken what we could have got for Sarr in the Summer. He's contributed f all so far. And who knows if he will before Jan. Money could have been spent on a CB.

I suspect JP will go in Jan, for half the money we could have got for him in the summer.

Had we sold both Mateta and Sarr in the summer, players who contributed nearly 40 goals between them last season, I suspect that would have much been wailing and lamentation, furthermore vilification would have directed against Steve Parish.

Is it possible to be relegated with the most goals against, win a Euro trophy, and qualify for the Champions League all in the same season? Asking for a friend.
haha im probably in the minority but we are a cup team these days and id take that all day! Obviously it would be great if we could stay up as well in 17th or even 18th place if Man City get done for cheating.

Just watched the Hoffenheim press conference and this jumped out to me:

Seems they have not worked at picking up players at the back post "but plan to today". Also this seems to have been at least influenced in part by lobbying from Henderson.

There are different ways to look at this, from incredulous to optimistic, but it will be interesting to see how organized we are at the back in the next two games.

Surprising it's been noticed by about 50 posters here but no one at the club picked up on it..

Pretty pathetic is how I look at it. A kid's team coach would notice.

Ah ok, I thought he was. Anyway, he's still part of the whole set-up that isn't showing any sign as yet of getting on top of the situation we are in

When you consider the caliber of club our departing players jumped ship for and the reported 3x-5x pay increases they received, it’s difficult to see what Parish could reasonably have done to avoid this situation.

I’ve witnessed some “special” moments recently and looks forward to Osario, Khalaili and others creating a few more in the coming months and years.

There would have been, and I can understand why.

But with hindsight, were were better off cashing in and using the money to get a couple of players that actually want to play for us.

We'll leave the near post free instead.
