I couldnt care less about the besiktas result, if the performance is like boro and poznan, where lack of quality were the only difference then I want him gone, he's a professional coach paid more than enough and this season hasn't been good enough and nothing looks like its changing defensively.

Sage may have to go but it would be nice if the names being considered as replacements left me feeling at least “whelmed”. Rob Edwards? Good grief. A man who would guarantee relegation. Scott Parker? Somebody who has failed at premier league management mostly due to his inability to organise a defence. Just the ticket. Hopefully it is just lazy thinking as they are the usual suspects

I know this is what happens when you screw up a manager appointment and have to change mid season. However, I’d rather have Dyche than them

After yesterday I was Sage out....today im not sure. If he goes we could end up with Edwards (Hobbs has form)...at least he has shown some ability to attack & if hes given a half decent CB in January, it's up to him.

We also miss Deano, bring back our first choice captain, let Wharton focus on himself and we can get our season back on track, I dont see us getting anything out of Besiktas...but wouldn't that be the palace way? COYP and come on Pierre....lets start our season now.

wasn't edwards hired by the guy who replaced hobbs at wolves?

When the missus first saw our new manager, she immediately said he won't last long, based purely on the fact he's too fat (her words!)

We'll find out if she was correct soon enough I guess, although I can't help thinking she was dropping a subtle hint about someone closer to home 🤔

My worry is that our club is heading down the Leicester City road. This team will struggle to survive in the Championship. It needs sorting now. Not sure anyone coming in today will stop the next two defeats but we need it changed now / today in my opinion.
We are no were near that we are financially sound so thinking more west ham

Stranger things have happened! What about a manger who comes in and plays a formation that suits the personnel available.
I'm not sure he would any more.

When Glasner was here we had three excellent centre backs (or two and one good one, anyway) along with the best right wingback in the league.

We don't got none of that now!

He had 433 at lyon with flexibility because they was losing and shipping goals . Lens 3 at the back but with flexibility . So lets hope he goes for the Lyon one to start of with . Players need to show they can adapt to different systems they get payed enough

My own instant reaction was similar - plus he has quite lugubrious features and bore a slight resemblance to David Brent (I commented on the David Brent point at the time).

I have grown the like the guy. I do think he has the smarts to turn it around. He will have learned a lot from the Brighton game. If he cannot translate that into a more successful on field formula then we'll need to make a change but I am "in" until the New Year.

Palace have played most of the season without Sarr and Mateta. They are back now and will make a difference. Brighton this season can beat anyone. Look what they did to Arsenal (3-0). Arsenal whose defence does not concede many. Next 5 EPL games (Newcastle H, Spurs A, Liverpool H, Coventry A and Hull H) Newcastle and Spurs are winnable. Liverpool aren't the same under Klopp they are beatable. Coventry and Hull have done really well but Palace can still get points from those games. I think they will get at least 2 wins from their next 5 games.
